However, when picking up the vehicle I had rented, which was supposed to be an intermediate sedan, I was offered the “option” to upgrade to a larger vehicle, which I declined. It turned out that I was forced to accept a larger SUV (finally with no extra cost), but for which Alamo initially attemped to “offer” with an extra charge, since it was the last vehicle left. I don’t appreciate this sharp practice. Trying to disguise a shortcoming by Alamo, by trying to charge the customer more?! Further, the fuel costs on the SUV that I didn’t even want were astronomical compared to what it would have been had I received the intermediate vehicle that I had contracted for during the booking. I would have preferred to have received the class of vehicle that I booked.

Appreciate there 24 hours road side assistance for guiding us and advising us to return and get a different one. And also, they allow us to upgrade into a bigger vehicle with just a small changes in there daily charge.
