I went to fountain tire twice. Once for an out of province inspection, which went fine, but they took a very long time so they gave me a coupon for an oil change (they also gave me grief for a rear wiper that they didn't have in stock. Dubious at best). So I came back for an oil change (which was only half off because I, like everyone else need synthetic oil, which is not that much more expensive but hey... lets charge double anyway!) and to have them mount my winter tires that hadn't been used in 3 seasons. I wanted to make sure they were good to go. After this visit, the steering wheel shook at 100kph, and my oil leaked (turns out they broke where the filter casing connects to the engine). Also, when I checked my oil after, it was dark and old. They obviously didn't bother emptying the oil properly, and reefed so hard on the filter that they broke the holder. They also didn't bother taking the car past 50kph in the test drive for the wheels. 400$ later (at the dealer this time), here we are with a 1 star. No, I didn't contact them to have any of it made right because they wouldn't have the capacity to deal with it and trust is now lost. The only thing I can't vouch for is if they would have offered to fix it for free... but knowing their lack of ability I rather pay someone who does it right. Also I am tired and don't want to deal with them anymore.

Went in to get new tires for my truck and told them factory size for my truck then they phoned me and I got there only to see the wrong size tires were put on my truck which were way over size and I could tell as soon as I seen it that they were way to big. I then asked them why there were so big then they tried to tell me that I requested over size tire when I clearly did not as I have a stock spec truck. Then when they went to change the tires they couldn’t find my splined socket to take my splined lug nuts off and called me twice trying to tell me I lost the socket when they left it on the tire machine. Said and done it was a 5 hour or deal now I’m left with four scratched fuel wheels from there tire machine and on top of all this they dropped a wheel and broke a centre cap which is on order but keep getting told that it’s gonna be longer and longer do not recommend this place at all.

Great customer service and timely repairs. It's hard to find honest mechanics but this place delivers. Five out of five
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
