  A great introduction to the world of dance. My daughter did pre-ballet/tap for a whole year with two recitals. Teacher Rikka was incredible! It is a small studio, so often there’s no receptionist. The owner does her best in communicating via email. Little errors such as missing student names on pamphlets or t-shirts is why I didn’t give it a 5/5. Otherwise, my daughter had a blast.

  I have been dancing at EDA for eleven years and love it. There is a wide variety of classes and levels offered here, including toddler classes, beginner through advanced levels for kids and teens, and beginner/intermediate adult classes. For the last two years, I’ve had the opportunity to take ballet, pointe, lyrical, acro, jazz, and technique classes. Hip hop, tap, musical theatre, and contemporary are offered too. There truly is something for everyone! The teachers at EDA are highly qualified and experienced dancers and instructors. In the last couple of years, I have improved more than ever thanks to my amazing dance teachers. Ms. Kacey focuses on safety and longevity in acro and technique rather than attaining skills as quickly as possible. When I first started in her class, I immediately saw how much she cares about making sure we learn skills correctly and safely. Kacey’s technique and stretch & strength classes have also been very beneficial and have helped me progress with jumps and turns. Ms. Sarah’s jazz class is great for applying and improving the skills I’ve learned, and I feel her class has made me a more well-rounded dancer. Ms. Sarah is great at keeping students challenged, even when dancers of many different skill levels are together in one dance. With Ms. Jana’s instruction, I was able to progress quickly en pointe. I went from barely being able to dance en pointe away from the barre in September to performing a pointe solo in the spring recital! Last season, I had the pleasure of being an assistant in two of Ms. Rikkia’s classes. She is amazing at making dance class fun for young kids, and she has lots of creative methods for teaching technique in ways that make sense to them. Kelli, our studio owner, is amazing too. She is constantly looking for ways to make EDA even better. As a student here, I know that the other dancers and I can always talk to Kelli if we have a concern about anything at the studio, and she will take us seriously. She listens to our needs, values our suggestions, and answers questions promptly. I also love that EDA is a small, non-competitive dance studio, so a lot of the drama that larger competitive studios often face is avoided. The small community provides a welcoming atmosphere for anyone being introduced to dance. EDA has become a second home to me over the years, and I have made so many friendships and lasting memories here. It is truly a wonderful place to discover your passion for dance, as I have.

  Parents Beware. My granddaughter attended EDA for over 12 years and everything was great until the new owner. She was moving along well and getting lots of good instruction until the past couple of years. Suddenly there was no advancement to the next level of tap class and when she and other students inquired why they were not being taught anything new they were not really given a solid answer. Same old yada yada. Several of the students became bored and decided to change to a different studio. Well come to find out apparently there was some clause that once they reach a certain point in the season they could not drop out as the routines for the recital were now being practiced. The owner decided that she was not going to break the contract and charged the parents the remaining tuition for the rest of the season. A smart business person would have said we are sorry to see you go and if things don't work out at the new place you are always welcome here. The families involved wanted out so badly they paid the balance. It is hard to see what is to be gained by holding kids captive that don't want to be there. This is a small community and parents all belong to groups. No way any of these parents are going to recommend EDA.

  My daughter has been going to Evergreen Dance Academy for over 7 years and she loves it. She started with ballet and now she is in 7 different types of dance classes. Since taking the different classes, she improved very quickly especially in flexibility. The studio environment is pleasant and the teachers are amazing and talented.

  We love Evergreen Dance Academy! Miss Sarah was my daughters teacher for creative tap and ballet and she was incredible! Miss Sarah always comes to class happy & smiling and that is such a nice quality to have as a teacher! She keeps the littles engaged & having fun while teaching them cute dance routines- its so much fun to watch! Miss Kelli, the owner of the studio, is wonderful. She goes above and beyond to run her studio well and it shows!
