  Had an issue with how the free refill policy was enforced during my visit. At the concession stand, I purchased a large soda and a large popcorn. The employee at the register told me, word for word, "to keep my receipt for my refill". At no point did he specify that this only applied to the soda, or that the popcorn would need to be an XL size to qualify. Based on that statement, I reasonably understood both items to be refillable. When I returned to redeem the refill, I was told that only the soda qualified, because the popcorn refill requires an XL size rather than a large. This was never communicated to me at the time of purchase, and the receipt itself gave no indication of a size distinction. I'd also note that this kind of size-gating is inconsistent with how comparable theaters in Washington handle refills. At AMC locations and at Regal, a large popcorn purchase is generally what qualifies for a free refill — there's no separate XL requirement. Cinemark appears to be the outlier here, and if that's the actual policy, it needs to be clearly disclosed to customers at the register, not discovered only when they try to redeem it. As a frequent movie go'er this was my first time testing out Cinemark with the upgraded experience and even though the movie was great, this experience honestly ruined the experience.

  We live a bit out of town but we’re pleasantly surprised with this theater. Reclining seats were nice, theatre seemed clean, staff was nice and helpful, good snack and popcorn options. They have kettle corn at this location!

  This is an awesome theater. We drive all the way out here, because it's much better than the Regal in Auburn, which is also a drive for us. But Cinamark in Federal Way is really great. Nice staff and they have the best popcorn. OMG... It's the best we've ever had. It's easy to purchase tickets online and pick your seats. Heck, I can't think of anything wrong with this place. And the fact we're willing to drive 30 minutes to get there, should tell you just how highly we think of the place. Highly recommend them.

  Heads up: Google Maps navigates you to behind the theater, not to the front entrance. This is not my favorite Cinemark - the F&B offerings are standard, and do not include the elevated offerings at a Cinemark Reserve. The men's restroom was decently clean when I visited. The patron next to me during my film brought in an entire family size bag of Dorritos and proceeded to snack on them loudly during the majority of the film - the staff ought to look into disallowing outside snacks for this reason.

  I always enjoy coming to this movie theater! The selection of movies is excellent, and the recliners are incredibly comfortable. Plus, the location inside the mall is perfect. It is directly opposite Panera and a few other good restaurants, making it super easy to grab a bite to eat before or after the show.
