Extremely disappointing birthday party experience. I booked my daughter’s birthday party at Main Event for 11 kids and several adults. We paid for food, drinks, bowling, laser tag, game cards, and the party package. We were told it would be easy and stress-free. It was anything but. We were told to arrive at 6:15 for our 6:30 party. We arrived on time but were told they were trying to find a spot for us. They were also scrambling to find our reservation and asking what I had paid for, as if we weren’t even in the system. We weren’t seated until around 6:38, despite there being plenty of completely empty tables. (Which would have been okay, but our bowling clock started without our knowledge) I understood the adults weren’t included in the activities. I had simply called beforehand about the adult headcount to make sure there was enough seating and that there would be enough food and drinks, and I even ordered extra food. Instead, all the adults had to stand, and later we were told they couldn’t have drinks. The biggest issue was zero guidance. We weren’t expecting someone to wait on us, but we did expect someone to explain how the party worked. Nothing was set up for us—no cups laid out, no game cards, no explanation of what to do first, or how to get started. We knew where bowling was, but nobody came to the table to say, “Bowling is first, here’s what you need,” or explain how to begin. Instead, we constantly had to ask someone for help, only to be told to ask another employee, who sent us to someone else. We had to ask for drinks and were given only a couple of cups. We were rushed away from bowling to eat, rushed through eating, and didn’t even have time to open presents. Then we went to laser tag and nobody was there, so once again we had to track someone down. When we returned, our drinks had been cleared away, and we had to ask for drinks again. We weren’t even allowed to leave our cake on the table while we guided the kids around, leaving us carrying a cake around the place. We also had to track someone down for the game cards Then waited and waited for the human crane person to arrive. I was told to ask someone who told me to ask someone else, who said they’d get someone and never did. Leaving us on another hunt to find an employee that would help. Trying to manage 11 kids is already a lot. Having to constantly leave the group, chase employees down, and figure out what we’re supposed to do made it nearly impossible for me and my parents to actually enjoy my daughter’s birthday. We didn’t need to be waited on—we needed basic organization, communication, and guidance. Instead, the entire party was chaotic, rushed, stressful, and exhausting. It felt like I was the party host. I would never book another birthday party at Main Event again. Everyone left complaining of headaches from all the stress. We didn’t get our moneys worth, and this event was EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE.

The pizza and games were good, but unfortunately the service was very poor. There was clearly not enough staff, and people were waiting in long lines for different services. The same person was handling the bowling shoes, assisting with bowling lanes, and redeeming tickets from the machines. We waited about 30 minutes just to get our check. The person who finally brought it was actually the person cleaning and clearing tables. Our server never came back. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and the lack of employees made the whole experience frustrating.

I attempted to call several times after my visit last night but received no response.i was currently visiting from out of town I am very disappointed with the service my family and I received. We arrived around 5:00 PM and were initially ignored by the bartender Alicih. I had to ask for a menu, napkins, and basic assistance. Later, another employee provided much better service. My biggest concern was with my tab. When I returned to add to the tab and close it, I was told no tab was open, despite having opened one earlier. I never received or signed a receipt or authorized a tip, and the amount charged to my account does not match the receipt. Another customer came to the bar and the employee with the braids also said his tab was closed there was a little dispute between the two employees but I cannot agree more no tabs should be closed if a customer is not done . Having to keep running cards for multiple transactions was very uncomfortable . I was given emails for communication upon leaving when asked to speak to the head manger and or bar manager . I was able to find out the three employees names one being Tyler & Gabby & Ty yall Stepped in and tried to change the experience One of the bartenders was yelled at by who were told the Manager later in our visit for trying to fix the situation . You guys have the potential to be a great place to visit but some of your staff is terrible and no manager should be yelling at a staff member for trying to do right by the customer

Bowling, food, and drinks were great. The only thing that made this unenjoyable was the service. Our server at our lane was super nice, but we had to ask for someone to come over (which is fine). Then as we are eating and bowling a manager came over and asked us for a card to put on the tab, and we were the only people we saw that were approached. She came over and explained that how they just didn’t want any walk outs and kind of tried to laugh it off. I understand needing to put a card on file, but that should be done when we open the tab, not once we’re already eating, playing and drinking just because our tab is getting higher. I even had my card and ID out when the sever came because i expected to have to put a card down, so that was never my issue. And then I had booked a pool table at 10:15 and when I asked the bartender for direction, she was rude and told me I’d have to wait for someone else to be done even though I booked it earlier online. My friend also told her a drink was just too strong and she rolled her eyes.

We came in today, 8/9/2026, at approximately 2:00 PM and paid $112 for two hours of bowling. At that price, we expected a reasonable level of service, including being able to order food and drinks during our visit. Unfortunately, we did not meet our server until there were only about 40 minutes remaining on our bowling time. When we asked approximately 20 minutes into our game how we could order food, we were told there was a “shift change.” While we understand that staffing changes happen, that should not result in customers paying $112 and going the majority of their bowling session without an opportunity to receive service. By the time a server finally came over, there simply wasn't enough time left to reasonably order food and drinks and enjoy them during our visit. It also left us questioning whether a tip was even expected when we had received virtually no table service. We asked to speak with a manager around 3:30 PM. Unfortunately, the manager's response and overall handling of the situation felt dismissive. We were given an additional 30 minutes of bowling, but that did not address the actual problem. We had already spent approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes expecting service and had ultimately lost interest in continuing. We ended up leaving before our additional bowling time was even used. This establishment appears to have a serious management and staffing issue, particularly for a high volume, multi department business. The problem wasn't simply that our service was slow. It was that there seemed to be no effective communication or management of the transition between shifts, and no one took ownership of the situation when we brought it to their attention. We paid $112 expecting to have an enjoyable two hour experience. Instead, we spent most of that time trying to figure out how to get basic food and beverage service. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the underlying staffing and communication issues We wont be back!
