  Great venue! Even though we live 2 hours away, the drive is worth it. Comedians are hilarious, food and drinks are delicious and the staff is great. We'll be back.

  I was just there to see Timmy No Brakes on July 3rd. The show itself was amazing. I had a great time watching him, however, unfortunately this was a two star experience. I drove 4 1/2 hours to the show and it was extremely hot outside. Doors opened a little late, no big deal. We got our seats and our waitress was named Yolandra or something like that and she was TERRIBLE. We didn’t get our drinks until halfway into the second opener. Everyone else around us had drinks and food. She would check on the table to our left, then the table in front of us, then the table on the right. Then she would walk away. My boyfriend had to try to get her attention when she would go to the other tables because it genuinely felt like she was purposely avoiding us. We finally told her our drinks never came and she said she would go check on them. Meanwhile, all the other tables now had food. Towards the end of the second act, we got our drinks and finally was able to order food. Thankfully the guy bringing the food was fast and polite. We finished our food and then we have to track down the waitress again for drink refills. We finally get her and ask for refills. We got sodas and she said they aren’t free but that was fine. Another 20 minutes go by and she brings the receipt. I told her we never got our second drinks. Another 10 minutes go by and we get our drinks. Then she comes back fast to take our money. I honestly wasn’t going to leave a tip, but I’m not a crappy person so I left $11 tip on a $63 bill. I won’t be going back. The only thing that made the long drive worth it was meeting Timmy No Brakes as he was freaking awesome.

  This has been my 4th or 5th time at the Improv seeing a variety of comedians. Absolutely amazing experience every time. Great drinks and great food. They constantly bring in big time comedians just need to follow their website or Facebook to see who is coming to town. All 3 comedians did great but Kam Patterson is the real deal and super personable.

  I was here 6/14 for Crystal Methyd's drag brunch show, and this was honestly one of the most uncomfortable experiences i've ever had at a Pittsburgh venue. We were let inside late, doors were 12:30pm but they did not let any patron in until 12:55pm-1:00pm. So for 25+ minutes we were all sitting in the hot sun with no updates. We also were not told about a "minimum two orders per person requirement" which is ridiculous, especially as someone who paid extra for meet & greet & VIP. I think it's insane that anyone is forced to order anything off of the menu, since we already paid to be at the event. A friend in regular entry was trying to take a video of me & my husband meeting Crystal, and security stepped in front of their camera telling them they're not allowed to take pictures or record. Then when they show started, they said photos & videos were okay (???) I think a lot of the staff have power / control issues & they were overall unpleasant. Oh, and since we were let in late they were pushing us through the line like cattle, handed me the VIP bracelets to put on (I thought they were supposed to put it on for you?) & I had no time to stop in the line & do that since people were coming up right behind us, then we proceeded to get yelled at by 4 different staff members to "put (my) bracelet on!!!" I will honestly never go back here because it truly felt unwelcoming & hostile.

  We usually come here about every other month. My wife and I enjoy comedy shows even if we don't know who it is that well. After tonight, I'm not sure if we want to come back. We would have to really like who it was on stage. We're not taking any more gambles. Let me be clear. No issues with the entertainment. The wait staff is just bad. 15 minutes into the headliner and we had yet to be approached by any wait staff. I tried to get the attention of the only one who kept walking by and she told me she wasn't our server but she would send ours over. We waited another 10 minutes and walked out. We were here for an hour and people were already getting their receipts. It's really hard to laugh in this situation. We asked on the way out why the QR codes on the tables don't have the menu anymore. The response was "they don't work". Well that's not true, it works if I want to buy a shirt or a glass. I wish I could say this was the first time this happened, but this is actually the 2nd. The last time when I grabbed a server during the headliner they actually took ownership of the situation. It's not really worth the drive to get here for this kind of repeat experience.
