  Had River City Irrigation install the sprinkler system on my home in La Crosse, WI in 2020 and have been with the company since then. Great service and craftsmanship. Very big thanks to Joe T. and staff for the great work & service provided to me each year. Very happy with the service and quality of work done. Two thumbs up and recommend anyone to call for a quote.

  We hired this company without looking at reviews first...BIG mistake! Horrible reviews...horrible company!! Communication is terrible- they won't answer their phone, return your calls, or respond to email. They provided snow plowing services for us in the winter but only when it suited their schedule. Sometimes they did not come at all and if they did come- they made sure to fit us in very last. Then, often did not have the right equipment to use, so they did only part of the job and had to return hours later to finish. Their plow did not just pick up snow, but completely tore up our lawn to shreds so we had to re-seed this spring. We made the mistake of allowing them to do the Spring cleanup...another huge mistake! They arrived, worked for a few minutes and then left not saying one word of communication what happened or whether they were returning at all. When they did return, they only did a partial job. We had to work for HOURS trying to finish what they did not do. When the expensive bill arrived, I was disgusted. NEVER AGAIN will we hire this terrible company and we strongly suggest no-one else does either. We have already established future services with a new, amazing company we can trust. You definitely live and learn....

  I used River City Irrigation for several years and unfortunately had a very frustrating experience. For about four years, my irrigation system never worked correctly. Each year I paid for annual service, and then I would receive additional bills for replacement diaphragms in various zones. One year it would be certain zones, the next year different zones. I was told the diaphragms needed to be replaced frequently because I have well water and minerals were building up in the system. The problem was that the system still did not work. My grass stayed brown except around the sprinkler heads, where there were small green circles. When I changed the start time so I could actually watch the system run, I could see there was almost no pressure. Some heads had one weak stream, while others were just bubbling or sputtering. I asked for clarification about which zones were which because I wanted to understand what was being replaced each year. The owner came out and gave me a zone map after I explained that I felt I was paying year after year for repairs without the actual problem being fixed. I was then offered the option to replace all the diaphragms at once for a significant amount of money. Before winterization, I asked a neighbor whether he had to replace diaphragms every year. He said no. He helped me troubleshoot, and we discovered that one zone was staying open and running even after it was supposed to shut off, which was taking water pressure away from the rest of the system. We also uncovered a sprinkler box in the front yard that had been completely covered by grass. That made me question how thoroughly the system had been checked if an entire box was overgrown and missed. We also found two sprinkler heads by the driveway that were not coming up at all, and I had assumed that area simply did not have sprinklers. I am disappointed because I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars over several years and the underlying issue was never identified or corrected. I finally called a different company. I wish I had gotten the help I actually needed much sooner.

  I have had River City Irrigation install and maintain my sprinkler system for over 5 years now and they are fantastic to work with. I've also used them for weed control and lawn fertilization. They are punctual, professional, and always super helpful. I am very happy with all of the work they have done and would highly recommend!
