  I had a great experience at Fox. I bought a Stihl mower. Nick did a wonderful job of making sure I got the right mower and Tom made sure I knew all of the features before I left. I will use Fox Rental from now on.

  Fox Tool Rental in Grapevine is outstanding! Fantastic customer service from everyone on the team. They were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to help me get exactly what I needed. I rented the plate compactor; it was easy to use and, believe or not, it started the first time every time. The equipment was in great condition, the process was smooth, and they made the whole experience easy and stress-free. Give everybody there a promotion — they truly deserve it! Highly recommend Fox Tool Rental to anyone needing quality tools and excellent service.

  Be prepared to replace everything on the rental you get. I might as well have went and bought a chainsaw instead of spending $250 renting one from them. And the first guy who called me on the phone was rude and wanted to argue with me about it. First & last time I go there.

  Update: The staff have reached out and we’ve discussed in more detail the issues with this rental and they’ve presented me with what I would consider quality corrective actions to ensure the equipment class that I rented has proper process to ensure a quality renter experience for future renters. I still stand by my original summary that as a customer, you should always do pre-use inspections and ask any and all questions you may have with rental equipment. Summary: If able, do full pre-use inspections before leaving the parking lot, so Fox Rental team can resolve or switch out units. In my case, the equipment inspection couldn't be fully completed until at worksite. Poor rental experience, unit was in poor condition and took 1-hour on job site to get it safe for use once inspected by job site foreman. Fuel was at 3/4 full , Missing coolant reservoir cap, dirt in loader and backhoe buckets, low to no air pressure in all tires, no working dash cluster to monitor RPM and whatever other indicators the unit may have had, seatback that would not stay latched. I called the store and they documented all the issues, but nobody appeared sorry for the failures other than the mechanics I talked with outside upon return of the unit the following day. Normally Fox Rental is a good rental experience, but this experience has me questioning future rentals and if their management team is really supporting quality equipment or if they are only operating now in failure only maintenance.
