In the summer, the farm opens for fresh vegetables and fruits, Summer Fun Days with amusement rides, a jumping pillow, train rides, and farm animal feeding through the Self-Feed Zoo. Come fall, Sonny Acres becomes one of the most popular pumpkin patches in the Chicago suburbs, paired with a full Fall Festival featuring hayrides, a haunted barn, a haunted hayride, carnival rides, apple cider donuts, and live entertainment. The holiday season brings fresh-cut Christmas trees, a Christmas Market with local artisans, photos with Santa, and the Big and Bright Trail of Lights, a mile-long illuminated walk through the farm set to holiday music. Throughout the year, Sonny Acres hosts standout public events including a professional rodeo, the ChiTown Exotic Car Show, a Corn and Craft Beer Fest, seasonal markets, and live concerts.
