  Owens Energy has provided propane for us for 8 years and consistently outperforms our previous provider. We purchased a tank from them and are very satisfied with their customer service.

  My wife and I moved up to the mountain in 2011. We chose Owens Energy for their price and ability to purchase propane tanks from them. Over the years, we bought two 500 gallon tanks. They relocated our 300 gallon tank at no charge to supply a remote propane generator on our property. Every year, we purchase bulk propane from them in August using their Pre-buy program. Last year, we bought a 40 foot shipping container through them. The price was reasonable and it was also delivered at no additional charge. We're completely satisfied with their service and plan to give them our business.

  When I write a review, I can almost always provide a reasonable critique of something that can be improved upon. I am struggling to do that here. I have been a customer since they started up this business and even though I have moved into town I live in an area with no natural gas service, so I am still a customer, decades later and a generation of employees later. Over the years I have asked them to create some different supply lines, fittings for RV's etc., and their staff has always been up to the challenge to satisfy my needs. Owens provides good service, a fair price and pleasant counter assistance when filling up bottles or your RV.

  told my wife it may have been the best shopping experience I’ve ever had. The first time, I was trying to connect a new griddle to a propane tank. I had been all over town trying to find the right fitting and finally walked into Owens Energy and showed them what I was trying to do, including the regulator that came with the griddle. Instead of just selling me a fitting, he took the time to explain why the regulator I had would NOT work by itself and why I could have had major problems if I had simply found the fitting somewhere else and hooked it up. Yikes. Then he said, “Sure, I’ll get you what you need.” A few minutes later he came back with the ENTIRE SETUP already put together — and he had even tested it for leaks! I was blown away. That was about two months ago. Then last Saturday I went back because the standard 5-gallon propane tanks I had been using weren’t working very well with the griddle, and I wanted to see about getting a larger tank. They were closed, so I figured I was out of luck. A guy working around the side saw me and let me know they were closed and weren’t filling tanks that day. I told him I was actually looking to BUY a different-size tank. He took me around back where the owner/boss was working on a personal project. He stopped what he was doing, explained why the different-size tanks perform differently, helped me get the right tank, AND filled it for me — on his day off. That is service you just don’t see anymore. Both times I went there, they didn’t just sell me something. They figured out what I actually needed, explained why, made sure it was safe, and went way beyond what I expected. Owens Energy saved my bacon twice. Absolutely wonderful people and genuinely some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough.
