Unfortunately, our experience at YSL in Bicester Village was disappointing.
There appeared to be minimal staff available, and we had to wait outside before being allowed into the store. That in itself is completely understandable if the store is busy or they are trying to control the number of customers inside. However, once we were allowed in, there was still nobody available to actually assist us.
What was particularly disappointing was the impression that certain members of staff were far more interested in customers who were dressed head-to-toe in designer clothing. People should not be judged by what they are wearing. Someone may walk into the store dressed casually and still be perfectly willing and able to make a significant purchase.
We approached a member of staff for assistance, but unfortunately she was not particularly helpful or welcoming and seemed far more interested in other customers. We were genuinely looking to purchase, but the service completely put us off. To mention she was not attending to anyone at that time but she wasnt very interested to check availability or provide information she also told my wife the bag she was asking for is to big? I can assure her we could afford it!
As a result, we decided not to spend our money at YSL and instead made purchases at other designer stores in Bicester Village, where the staff were much more welcoming, attentive and helpful.
For a luxury brand, the customer experience should match the quality and reputation of the products. Unfortunately, on this occasion, it did not. Dont judge people by what they wear!
It’s good here, the range is nice although quite a lot of unwearable pieces throughout the year

Shopping at the YSL boutique in Bicester Village was an absolute pleasure, all thanks to Hasan. From start to finish, he delivered the kind of service that completely exceeded my expectations.
My wife and I came in looking for the YSL Voltaire bag, and Hasan made the experience unforgettable. He was warm, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping me find the perfect bag. There was never any pressure—just honest advice, impeccable attention to detail, and a level of care that made me feel truly valued as a customer.
Luxury shopping is about more than the product; it’s about the experience, and Hasan embodied everything you would hope for from a luxury sales advisor. He made what was already a special purchase feel even more meaningful.
Thank you, Hasan, for your outstanding service. You’re a true asset to YSL, and I’ll definitely be seeking you out the next time I visit Bicester Village.

My friend's credit card didn't work (We're from Japan and it was a security issue) and she had a hard time figuring out how to make it work. Matthew helped us and waited for us so patiently to figure it out. Finally my friend's card worked and that was a huge YAY. We cannot thank him enough and that experience with him became one of our best memories. Thank you so much! ❤️
I am extremely disappointed by the behavior of one of your sales assistants during my visit.
She appeared to be Romanian, and my husband and I came into the boutique genuinely interested in purchasing a pair of shoes that we had carefully tried on and inspected. However, throughout the experience, her attitude felt inappropriate and unprofessional for a luxury environment.
She repeatedly questioned why we were looking so closely at the details of the shoes and asked what could possibly be wrong with them. I find this shocking, especially in a luxury boutique where products cost £1,000–£2,000. Of course clients will pay attention to craftsmanship, materials, finishing, and details before making such an investment. That is completely normal in high-end shopping.
A luxury brand experience is not only about the products, but also about how clients are treated. Unfortunately, her behavior felt dismissive and lacked the elegance, professionalism, and respect one expects from a prestigious house like Yves Saint Laurent.
I believe that when choosing sales consultants for a luxury boutique, the standards should reflect the image and values of the brand itself. Sadly, this experience did not reflect that level at all, and it left me feeling very uncomfortable and disappointed.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because clients visiting a luxury store deserve to feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable while exploring products in detail before making an expensive purchase.
