  They have an abundance of computers and volunteers to help you with using both the online family search tasks and preservation tasks such as slide scanning, converting VHS to digital format, and photo scanning. They have a very large photo scanner as well as small photo scanners that can rapidly scan large amounts of standard 4x6 photos. They also have some fun/entertaining activities including the ability to change faces in old photos to your face, take photos and change backgrounds, look up your personal family origin locations, and "escape room" type puzzles that you can do with a group. Every volunteer with whom I have interacted has been knowledgeable

  I noticed a problem when I first walked into this place and all staff looked down or gave me "-.-" faces, you won't get help if you look like me which I've been told is rough, tattoos and no teeth, basic life stress look. Idk. I've been going for two weeks and still have no clue what I'm doing for as many times as I've asked for help. It finally became aware to me when I asked them about a microwave so I could eat lunch and they said no one could go into the employees lounge (understandable) but then after asking four people no one could tell me where a gas station was but rather told me go to Walmart or order doordash.. (there is a place called shortstop up the road incase anyone else needs this information) But the next day because someone left a cake in the lounge area they had people openly going in and getting things for it. For one, make your rules the same for everyone. Secondly this is a place to do work yet I have only had staff break my focus due to their own disruptive loud behavior goofing around with each other or like the cake thing. If you need to visit please do it elsewhere so I can get my self help work done, I'm stressed.

  There is amazing technology to help document digitize and research at no charge!!! Even better are the capabile, caring volunteers who helped me know how to use the machines. Highly recommend going there!!!

  The freedom celebration for 250 years hosted excellent pioneer activities and we came home with a family tree chart!

  Was able to research genealogy back 7 to 8 generations on both parents.
