  On the afternoon of Thursday, 13 August, my wife and I were shopping at Harrods as usual when we decided to visit the Bulgari boutique, one of my wife’s favourite stores. Over the past few years, we have purchased watches and various pieces of jewellery from Bulgari to mark our special occasions. On this occasion, my wife wanted to try on a necklace she had been interested in for some time. There were two sales associates in the boutique: a European man and a woman who appeared to be from Hong Kong. While my wife was trying on the necklace, the female sales associate suddenly asked, “When are you going to buy it?” We replied that we were seriously considering the purchase and would buy it when the time was right. Until that moment, she had been smiling warmly, but as soon as she heard our answer, her expression and entire manner changed completely. She openly displayed irritation and displeasure, then sharply told us that photography was prohibited in the boutique and instructed us not to use our phones, even though we were not taking any photographs. She then abruptly stood up, took the jewellery back towards the display area and continued muttering to herself in an irritated manner, loudly enough for us to hear. In my opinion, a member of staff who changes her attitude in front of customers and makes no attempt to conceal her anger or irritation simply because she has not been told that an immediate purchase will be made lacks even the most basic qualities expected of a sales associate representing a luxury brand. I have been shopping at Harrods for more than ten years, yet I have never encountered a sales associate who displayed such obvious hostility towards a customer or made us feel so insulted. I find it difficult to understand how a world-renowned fine jewellery house such as Bulgari could place someone with this attitude in a customer-facing role. Customers have every right to try on a product and take sufficient time to consider a purchase. They should not be treated dismissively or subjected to unpleasant behaviour simply because they are not prepared to make an immediate payment. Her conduct that day went far beyond ordinary poor service; it damaged our trust in Bulgari and tarnished the positive memories we had built with the brand as long-standing customers. If I ever encounter this member of staff again, I would like to ask her directly: What did we do wrong that day to make you suddenly become angry and behave so rudely towards us as customers? Perhaps she mistakenly believes she is the owner of Bulgari rather than a sales assistant when dealing with customers. Otherwise, she either lacks basic manners or appears to have serious anger-management issues. It was by far my worst-ever experience with Bulgari.

  Been here once on a pretty busy day as this outlet is hosting some event. However we were informed when making the appointment itself about the event. The sales person is an intern who has in-depth knowledge of watches. They had almost all of the bulgari collection. We did get to check the OctoFinnissimo, the Lucea series etc. The staff was very keen in showing us all the products like jewelry, hand bags etc. Even though the watch model which we were looking for isn't there in the outlet, they did make an arrangement for it as we got a call back from them within just a week.
