  First room smelt damp and of cigarettes. Requested a different room, the second room also smelled damp.

  If I could rste this place a ZERO I WOULD After a long day of traveling & work I check in to my room 217 at about 930 pm. I get to my room & it smells super bad of chlorine, the room is dirty and looks to have bodily fluids all over the sofa. The upstairs neighbors were having a party or something and stomping and possibly moving furniture 🙄 I try to call the office but thw phone doesn't work. So I head to the front desk. Super frustrated when I get there I told Josh I had a list of complaints & that I'd like to change rooms. I speak loud in general but he takes my frustrations as yelling which wasn't my intention but I was certainly assertive. When Josh tells me he can't give me another room & I am paraphrasing but tells me to leave or he was going to call the police. Which was fine with me because paying $150 plus per night to be rented a room in the condition it was, was unacceptable. He then offered to fix the phone & go up to ask the people above me to quite down he comes up to the room & I ask him why it smelled so bad of chlorine he said the swimming pool was below my room & agreed that it smelled of chlorine. He fixes thw phone and leaves. The room smelled so bad I began to get a headache. I could not stay in this room. I called customer service who booked me at another BW location so I immediately left. I was there under an hour through the whole transaction from check in to leaving. Customer Service rep. Yvette Who helped me rebook said I would have to follow-up regarding a refund. The next day I get a call from Kaitlyn from the hotel I left Best Western @ the mall called & offered to give me another room. I let her know with everything that happened the room smelling of chlorine & dirty that I called C.S that night & rebooked with another B.W I was there less then an hour. Kaitlyn had every excuse for her staff and the way the room smelled to cover for the hotel. In retaliation of me leaving and not accepting such horrible conditions she has refused to refund my stay. No one when they book ever would agree to such horrible conditions and I was refused another room. I did not cancel. I left because of the deplorable conditions. She said she would fight me on every request for a refund even with my credit card company If there is any B.W Corporate person reading this here is the 64151 ticket number for best western for my complaint & request for a refund. Attached are a few photos of room 217 that I was given. I wish there was smellovision for the smell of the chlorine.

  After a short stay I can confidently say the staff are helpful, the lobby was welcoming, and room and restroom clean!

  Nice hotel. Good location. The only issue is the elevator is very slow
