We were in a short trip to visit the monuments and the area. This hotel was top notch from the time we arrived until we left.

The rooms aren't horrible, we liked our big room but they are out dated. Our electronics are all over the room since they only have 1 outlet next to the bed which sucked. The rooms smell musty.
The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast bread, cereal, eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits & gravy. I was just bummed there wasn't bagels. There was a guy out there at all time filling items and asking if we needed anything else. No complaints there.
The indoor pool was nice (didn't feel heated) Outdoor pool looked pretty small. Pool was very crowded when we were there which sucked. The hot tub was tiny. My family was in there with another family and it felt uncomfortable and to crowded.

Horrible breakfast. Gravy like soup, barely warm no fruit.
Our room was hot, the a/c would not stay on long enough to cool the room. The toilet woujd be great for kindegarten aged kids. Small and low. The window shade was ripped along one edge and hard to put it up or down..
No one even asked us if are Best Western Reward members so that was not honored. Senior citizen discount not recognized. We have stayed here many times over the years and it has deteriorated more each time weve stayed. So congratulations BW you've lost a customer.

Great location; easy access to Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial plus the Must See Wild Life Loop and the Needles Hwy. But other than that it is just an average hotel. Breakfast is terrible. Their gym is smaller than a guest room and is crammed pack with one stationary bike, an elliptical, and a treadmill. It has a few light dumbells, but that's it. Basically it is unusable unless you are the only one using it. The outdoor pool is like a kiddie pool, but they do have a decent sized indoor pool. If all you are doing is crashing while you explore the sights, this place is perfect. But if you want a place to hangout and enjoy the facilities, try someplace else.

Stopped here on our way to Yellowstone. This was a great place!
We arrived to the hotel late and were able to snab a quick dinner at Chute Rooster (just around the corner), so the location of this place is definitely a plus! Especially if you're making spontaneous stops on your road trip.
The hotel also comes w/ a pool and hot tub AND breakfast. The breakfast was a standard American hotel breakfast, but it was nice-have especially when you're on the road and constantly eating gas station food.
I honestly have no complaints about this place - was a great experience worth the price.
