We had such a great stay at the Best Western Pier Point Inn! We had never stayed here before, so we weren't quite sure what to expect, but we were really happy with our choice and would absolutely stay here again.
We arrived a little early and figured we'd ask if there was any chance of checking in early. We got lucky, and Lorenzo at the front desk was so nice and accommodating. He was genuinely happy to help us, which was such a great first impression.
After heading out for our activities for the day, we came back to fresh-baked cookies in the lobby! Adam offered us some and was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. He really seemed to go above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff here really stood out during our stay.
The hotel itself was clean, the beds were comfortable, and having both a pool and hot tub was a huge plus. The breakfast was also WAY better than the typical hotel continental breakfast. They actually have a full made-to-order breakfast, which was such a nice surprise!
Between the amenities, breakfast, comfortable rooms, and especially the wonderful staff, we had a great experience. Definitely a place we'd stay again next time we're in Florence!
Most of the rooms unfortunately do not have air conditioning, and I wasn't aware of this. I understand its not "hot" in Florence, but it gets hot in a room and I can't sleep hot. They did provide an oscillating fan, which was helpful.
The rooms were fairly clean, except the floor was sticky, possibly from using to much floor cleaner and not rinsing it off well enough.
The bathroom is a weird set up; no hand towel hanger by one of the sinks (there are two different sinks in two areas of bathroom). The toilet is too close to the tub too....may be nit picky, but these are the issues I saw. Also, its updated but not very well done. For example one of the tiles on the floor is moved out of place.
Con: way too much awful smelling cleaner that could not be aired out. It was if they spilled it and left it there, which is why the floor was sticky. Could not sleep and had an awful headache from it. While I am sensitive to smells, I am usually able to open up the room to air it out and go out to explore the area and have a meal for a few hours. This did not help. If you are at all sensitive, I would not recommend this hotel. Also bed was not comfortable
Pro: nice balcony. We had a high floor, so the trees that people complain about did not affect us.
Made to order omelette for breakfast was very good. Husband said French toast was good.
Loved the location and views. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the river! Excellent service. Full breakfast with omelet bar. Comfy bed. Great pool. Clean room. I do think it was expensive and a bit overpriced but everything these days is!

Stayed in #125. The toilet flushing upstairs woke me up several times each night. Additionally, the toilets are at toddler height, the room was full of condensation each morning, the TV was stuck on a mini screen, housekeeping skipped us, our screen door kept falling off the hinge, and I watched an elderly lady slip while attempting to get out of the pool's rinse off area.
However, the price was right, breakfast was enjoyable, the bed was decent, and the front desk staff were friendly. If you're not too picky, you'll enjoy this place.
