  Very Disappointing Stay Unfortunately, our stay at Best Western was very disappointing. We checked in around 3:00 AM and were extremely tired after traveling. Otherwise, we would have seriously considered leaving and finding another hotel. The hotel is advertised as a non-smoking property, but the first two rooms we were given had a very strong smell of marijuana. We had to switch rooms twice because of the odor. It was extremely frustrating to arrive at 3:00 AM expecting to get some much-needed rest, only to have to change rooms because of the marijuana smell. The staff did move us to different rooms, but guests should not have to go through this in a non-smoking hotel. Management needs to do a better job enforcing the non-smoking policy and inspecting rooms before guests check in. This experience was far below what I expected from Best Western.

  We were first met by Danyell, when we were just looking for hotels. She was so accommodating even if we were not checking in. She was so super helpful that we booked a week here. She didn't even stop there, she was always available for anything we may need always greeted coming and going. Not to mention the other staff here made our stay really feel like a home. From the front desk chit chats to asking how our day was and to giving us Good Luck in accomplishing our endeavors. To the very kind breakfast queen in the morning to the cleaning/house keepers on helping me by cleaning my kids rooms. 😂. An amazing job from a Family of 6. Thank you for taking great care of me and my large family!

  In response to Best Western's response to Shelby Romero!! Response: I do appreciate you looking into this. I do not appreciate having ALL CAPS for my decision not to stay. WOULD YOU STAY AT A HOTEL THAT WAS TRYING TO CHARGE YOU AN ILLEGAL FEE. Answer is most likely NO!! Based on the interaction with the receptionist it seemed that she would try to find anything that would require additional fees. So at that point you didn't deserve my business. I still do not recommend anyone with a service dog or disability come to this hotel until major improvements on customer service and the responses from management. This could have been a lawsuit and not a negative review. I hope you take this chance to make appropriate changes so there aren't other opportunities for lawsuits on the same issue! Those lawsuits won't be from me but I can't speak for others that have experienced the same issue as I did. It also seems that management constantly responds to negative reviews in an argumentative way so I hope you respond to this with a better attitude.

  Beware people with service dogs. They tried to charge me $25 cleaning fee for my service dog before I even entered the room. They claim its best western policy to charge anyone with an animal no matter if it's a service dog or not. Federal law and Best Western begs to differ!! The staff was really rude and argumentative and unwelcoming about the whole thing. Contacted corporate they transferred us to a different hotel that actually follows the law. Will be reporting this hotel to the ADA. It seems that the manager believes they are above the law. The front desk representative should be fired or retrained on how to talk to customers appropriately and actual best western policy and federal law!!! Edit: my service dog was mentioned on my reservation that I made a week before
