Incredible experience. Easy parking, the hostess was welcoming, with easy access to our room AND, Svengooglie was on the television come 9:30pm after we saw TIG. Though Svengooglie wouldn’t talk about the racism of the Zoonie fetish doll from Trilogy of Terror or speak of the passing of Ms Dolly Parton, he still had lots of facts to expel, AND right after that Batman came on! After that, and Star Trek, we went to sleep in our KING SIZED BED!!!!!! And there was enough room for me and my girlfriend to not touch each other, WHEW!!!!! Overall Best Western gave us a 5-star night.
Unacceptable Hygiene Standards & Terrible Late-Night Experience
I am writing this review to express my absolute disappointment and frustration with our stay in Room 249 (August 24–26).
Before going to sleep on our first night, we discovered that the bed linens—including the duvet cover and pillowcases—were visibly stained, heavily wrinkled, and covered in multiple strands of stray hair. It was utterly disgusting and obvious that the sheets had not been changed after the previous guest left. Even though we had cleared away some of the mess before taking photos, the remaining evidence was still appalling.
When we alerted the front desk, we were told the hotel was fully booked, so they could only hand us fresh sheets and pillowcases to change ourselves. Having to spend time late at night stripping and making our own bed severely disrupted our sleep and ruined our evening. Expecting paying guests to deal with dirty bedding and perform basic housekeeping duties in the middle of the night is completely unacceptable for any hotel.
We still have one more night here, but this gross lack of cleanliness and poor handling of the situation has completely ruined our experience. I strongly advise travelers to look elsewhere if you care about basic hygiene.
Our connecting flight was delayed, landing us in Rochester at 1 am. Rather than make the 2 hour drive in the middle of the night we stayed here. $250. Plus tax. The place is scum! I've stayed in better Howard Johnsons in the 70's. Avoid this place like the plague! The only good thing is that it was next to the airport. He'll, the Marriott was only $150.
Very pleasant experience. I flew in for a quick three day visit with family. Staff pleasant and accommodating. I got there early before check-in at three pm. They fed me lunch and got my room ready for me early with no extra charge. My room was clean with a couch, large flat screen TV, desk, refrigerator and king size bed. And a microwave in the lobby on my floor.
Very quiet considering the airport is across the street. Breakfast had full coverage of items from fruit, cereal , eggs & sausage to waffles. They offered a 24 hour shuttle service to the airport and I left at 4:00am. They even had a to go brown lunch bag with a muffin and apple - i grabbed the travel size peanut butter cup and it was a perfect snack for the trip home! I would highly recommend this Best Western at the Rochester NY airport for your visit. I thank all the staff members for a great experience!
The worst of all Best Western I ever stayed.
Washrooms are dirty, stuff is untreated.
One morning they were out of forks, so we must eat our breakfast (eggs and bacon) with spoons- that’s was front desk advice, they were also out of milk.
Hotels like this shouldn’t carry Best Western name.
