AN
Alien To None

Gold Country Inn was a very nice stay, very comfortable, with every thought and detail of your overnight stay accounted for, every traveler's hope and dream. Which is why it's so appalling to have the entire dream like illusion to be sourly disrupted by some of your rude and discourteous staff. Firstly, we asked specifically, when checking in, what time check out would be and was affirmed at noon. Great, front desk helpful, nice, very understandable and accommodating, all's great, you'd think! Continental Breakfast is 6am - 10am so I set an alarm and fetched most of breakfast around 9, brought it upstairs to our room's mini fridge, settled back in with my boyfriend to catch a few more Z's when a loud Knock at the door, followed suddenly by a staff member opening and entering our room. I quickly met them at the door and was told in broken English that they were told the room was empty and check out was at 10am... I had to go all the way back down to check, and was corrected that it was in fact noon check out. Later when we do in fact check out, they have a snack corner with what you'd assume to be coffee and snacks for guests of the hotel right in front. Within those options was milk, and I do understand we were told breakfast was available only until 10am, so I asked if I could grab some milk. Tell me why this staff lady kurtly spits out "Not for you!" Loudly and rudely enough to receive all eyes and glances. Don't know if it's the lasting impression you'd hope guests would receive, hotel was very nice, some of your staff really aren't, front desk not included.
