  This is a small town. The hotel was clean. The shower was great believe it or not. The one star off was because the TV services were lacking. There were no local channels for news or even the weather channel. It seemed if you wanted to watch anything you were going to have to pay for it. I understand to a degree. There were a few free channels but local or weather channels should be included. It's a very small town. There was a subway in a gas station. A pizza hut, and a few local mom and pop places to eat. The breakfast at this hotel was amazing though! Bacon, eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy and Im pretty sure the tortillas were homemade.

  Room updated, very nice and very clean. King suite very roomy. Room refrigerator froze everything we put in it. Not good for medication. Breakfast was really good. More variety than your usual hotel and better quality. Gloria that took care of breakfast was very attentive and made sure the food and beverages were full and hot. Staff at hotel desk were very nice and helpful. The location was not great right across from a truck stop. Noise of trucks and train during night. Places in town that said they were open until 9pm for food were closed earlier so no choice for food except truck stop store. Not an enclosed hotel. Doors open onto parking lot or stairway if on 2nd floor.

  Right on the four lane highway (some rooms are only 50 ft from it) that runs thru town, directly across from a Loves truck stop. Old style motel with outside walkways and stairs, no elevator. Room was updated and clean. Don't plan to eat late in this town, even some places that say they close at 9pm were closed by 830pm (eg subway, si senor taco truck, etc).

  Excellent breakfast served by Gloria. She takes great pride in keeping food items hot and fresh. Almost like having a “mom” at the motel breakfast. Rooms are clean and everything was in working order. Rooms are far enough from main road to be quiet. Finally, room prices are fair and actually a bargain when compared to crossing over the border to Texas. My wife and I will stay there again as we travel from Wyoming to Houston.

  Made a reservation for September 14 back on July 12, 2026. I asked for a ground floor room and declared our pet. Nothing I asked for was given even though they took the money from my credit card 2 months in advance. Staff at front desk is not equipped to solve problems and the standard answer was its not my fault. She was pleasant but under trained or just did not care. I asked to speak to a manager and was told she was not there and she did not know when she would be. All and sll this is what I learned about this best western, they have clean rooms and very poor customer service. Verify before you pay or arrive or stay in Dumas or Dalhart.
