I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus in Greenville NC on June 11, 2026. I reserved a King Suite and I received a double Queens. I went back to the front desk to let her know I received the wrong room. Unfortunately the last King room was sold so there wasn’t much else she could do. I asked could I get a discount or something because this is not what I asked/paid for. She gave me the email to the manager and told me she will there tomorrow morning at 9. she said she should be able to help (discount or free night). I sent an email to the manager explaining my situation and the next day I talk to the manager and was told this was a “free upgrade” because I had 3 people in my room. I told her the “3rd person” was my 14 month old son. Why would you assume I wanted double queens without asking me. It was a HUGE inconvenience because I wanted my 14 month old to sleep between his father and I for safety reasons. Especially for how high the beds are. I had to put pillows around him and sleep separately from my husband because I was terrified he would roll off the bed. I barely slept and had a very uncomfortable stay. Something came up so we asked the manager could we at least get a discount to get a King room for another night? Once again she proclaimed the double queens was a “free upgrade” (THAT WE DIDN’T ASK FOR!) and there wasn’t anything she could do but we could get a king room or stay another night in our current room for full price.. My husband and I took our business somewhere else because we paid for something we didn’t ask for, with no resolve or even an apology! This was truly a unfair and a unpleasant experience.

This was my 3rd time staying here. All in all its a good hotel, the rooms are nice and spacious, the beds are comfy, it's clean.....but the leaves a little to be desired. That said I usually stay at a Holiday In when I travel and their breakfast is amazing and different daily. Here the waffles and toppings are great, however, 4 nights 1 week, 4 nights another week, and 3 nights a 3rd week and all i saw every morning was the Brown and Serve sausage, not even real sausage, scrambled eggs, and the waffles. They have a few cereal and bread options but it is not a large selection of either. No biscuits, grits, potatoes danishes or anything of the sort. They put Ham out twice in all the mornings I was there, but never saw Bacon or anything different. I guess if you like the exact same not great Brown and serve sausage, scrambled eggs and waffles for breakfast every day it's amazing. I like to switch it up so I oy ate the breakfast once or twice they do have whole milk and 2 percent but no chocolate milk either.
