Can’t say enough about this excellent hotel in downtown Minneapolis! The location is perfect, within walking distance or a close drive to most major destinations. Parking is ample and very reasonably priced at $15/day with in/out privileges. Staff were very welcoming, cappuccino machine was lovely, rooms were clean and comfortable. Reverse osmosis drinking water machines were a nice surprise. The only consideration is that rooms near the pool can be noisier at times, but easily remedied with earplugs and a sound machine. Will definitely be back!

made reservations here after confirming we could get an early 2pm check in as we had to leave another hotel early due to unsanitary and unsafe conditions. we arrive at 3:30pm and they tell us our room won’t be ready until 4:30pm. we are out of town traveling for a wedding and the wedding starts at 4:30pm. zero hospitality or concern on their end. don’t stay here, especially if you expect to get in your room at the time you’re told, let alone at the normal check in time. expecting people to wait over an hour in the lobby with their luggage while paying hourly for parking is insane.
Where to begin -
1. Room was fine, abeit dusty enough to HARD trigger allergies
2. Service from the start was terrible. I had booked an extra night to my room 8 months BEFORE the reservation and they made me check in and check out of that room, to stay in the same room, to "start" my next reservation. This took 40 minutes. Yes. 40 minutes. Aside from the front desk being absolutely rude about it, also saying that they would charge me MORE per night to make the reservation "continuous" (so i wouldn't have to checkin and out) as I thought I had established 8 months prior with the extension request (by phone).
3. More on the service, Tuesday 9 AMish, 8/25, I came down to the front desk - there were NO other customers but there was the front desk person, dutifully asleep at the counter, eyes closed and unresponding. I said "hi" - no response, I said HI LOUDER and she woke up & we did check-out. This is a first for me, witnessing someone literally ASLEEP at the front desk.
4. The parking passes were a joke. They didn't work, then they did, then they did not. We had to go to the front desk to get "new" passes THREE times in a four day stay, when the passes themselves were supposed to last the whole time we were there. The parking lot always had spaces, which was nice, but whether you could get out of it with the hotels parking "passes" was a different matter.
Would I recommend this hotel to anyone? Absolutely not. This was the worst service I've ever seen, and the front desk was not only unhelpful, they were asleep, and rude.

Absolutely disgusting, they do not clean the rooms, found used floss next to bathroom garbage can on floor, shower/tub were not clean, bathroom floors had hair and dirt in corners, walls throughout the room had dried spots food or something brown, built up dust on bathroom closet doors, shelves under and around tv, the grey guest book with pamphlets by phone was so dirty and greasy. The beds were the worst!! Checking for bed bugs Literally pulled the sheet back and the fitted sheet had slight staining on it, the mattress cover had not been washed, (should have been thrown away along with the mattress itself and box spring) along the side of the mattress and boxes spring a huge brown spot (maybe puke? Food?) either way ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! The wall in-between both beds had old dried up food, hair, dead bugs, and about a inch or 2 of dust! The front desk worker was very nice but when informing her and then her manager NEITHER of them were surprised, even was told that they have been having issues with housekeeping not doing there jobs for awhile now and I was not the first person today to come and complain. The front desk worker did apologize but the manager was not even curious or interested in what the room actually looked like (after the 2nd time of me suggesting he goes up to the room and checks this out for himself he went and took a look) was offered a different room but declined why would a person want to go discover another absolutely disgusting experience the first room wasn't clean and to the extent of filth the first room was and not only the front desk worker but the manager on duty telling me this is an ongoing issue for awhile now why would you want to knownly spend $650.00 to stay somewhere for the next 4 days thats not clean!

This place probably deserves 4.5 but giving it only 4 stars would be wrong. The rooms are CLEAN, most importantly. Some slightly annoying things- no continental breakfast, bathrooms are a bit small, there is not a single staff member on site that is in a hustle—ever ;). But the positives far outweigh! The staff were so sweet with our chatty teens, the rooms and bathroom were spotless, glass cups in the room and filtered water nearby, but most importantly the pool! All new hotels have a small pool shoved in some tiny, tiled room with low ceilings resulting in them being so loud and chlorine filled. The tall, bright pool area was so appreciated. The restaurant attached was delicious and we had a couple great chats with the French chef. This will always be the spot we grab when staying in Minneapolis. Thanks to this hotel and staff members for a great few days
