Absolutely a let down, I’d leave zero stars if I could. I’m not even sure where to begin other than stating DONT WASTE YOUR TIME The only reason this trip didn’t completely suck was because the two young men working in your retail store at the end were absolutely amazing employees! Let me start with I’ve been in the customer service industry in various fields for over 15 years and spent a great deal of time in upper management; if my employees ever acted the way the employees in the discovery center did today I would absolutely be reevaluating if I should be running a business. Minus the the retail workers at the end of our 2.5 miserable hour visit, the rest of your employees looked as miserable as we were. Not a single one spoke kindly to any child there that i witnessed including my own, one employee even hit a child with the corner of a metal pop up sign they were using to block the entrance to the “VR” center and didn’t even apologize to him, his parent or ask if he was okay. That same employee than followed that up by speaking to my child in such a completely unprofessional manner and tone I was legitimately left speechless. Because my child who’s barley 8 and doesn’t even look that old, should never have any adult cop such an attitude regarding if they have tickets or not when their parent is standing right there, and then to cop that same exact snotty attitude with a PAYING visitor is wild behavior. Between the VR employee, the employee that was running the ‘Save the Princess’ ride who acted like I had ruined their entire day by verifying what the ride was because my child was nervous about going on it and the custodian who was sweeping up and dumping the legos that were strewn about on the floor back into the bins, it’s very apparent upper management seriously needs a re evaluation and your employees on the floor need training on courtesy, communication and empathy especially considering they WORK WITH KIDS It’s so astonishing to see employees who work with children interact with them in such a negative way; especially in comparison to the excellent experience we had earlier at the Bluey Camp Experience. Now employee behavior aside; the rest of the place is also just disgusting. Between the legos being swept off the floor in dust pans a dumped back into the bins Unsanitized, to the USED feminine hygiene products that my 8 YEAR OLD SAW were strewn about the women’s restroom including on top of the toilet seats, the lack of sanitation of the VR headsets topped off by no central air the entire facility is a breading ground for bacteria. It was so hot and muggy inside there from the lack of central air or air flow at all it made the entire place nauseating on top of the gross factor. And to finding this review off, the amount of things that were broken so the kids couldn’t use them, the fact that there was absolutely no organization or explanation on how anything worked it was honestly just a complete an utter waste of time and money. My family has always been huge on LEGO and today was such a huge disappointment to my son. I really wish I was just being a Karen here or a disgruntled parent, but given my review history on Google and my background in business management please take this review seriously and consider other alternative activities for your kids, at least don’t bother paying for any of the extra stuff because there’s no explanation on how it works let alone if it works.

Had tickets via Groupon for 20usd which in my opinion was a good value for the experience. My 2kids 6 and 9 really enjoyed the activities and challenges as well as the 4d movies. We had 3 different movies that day. Each one about 15 minutes. We spent a total of 4 hours coz we had to go but feel like my kids would have enjoyed a couple hours more. Not sure I would purchase plain tickets though.

Our kids had a wonderful time playing for hours at this location. The lego sized Boston creations and displays were amazing. Finding parking was easy in Assembly Row as there was plenty of parking garages. Plenty of other stores around to visit as well. Hopefully they fix the sound part of there 4D Lego movie experience (blown or bad speaker), but other than that, just great fun.

Held Back by Policies and Issues My visit to the LEGO Discovery Center Boston was a mixed experience; while it has some entertaining features, it is limited by strict policies and operational hiccups. Size & Duration: The space is small, but it has plenty of fun elements if you like LEGOs, including one shooting attraction. You can comfortably do everything in an hour to an hour and a half tops. Takeaway Policy: A notable drawback is that they do not let you take anything home. It defeats the purpose of having a dedicated area to build mini figures if you cannot even keep a single one. Operational Issues: The 4D movie was broken during the visit, and being given a repeat VR experience after having already paid for it the first time was disappointing.

My grandson and I had a nice day at the Lego Discovery Center, however the quality was not as good as it was a few years ago. There was no sound in the movie and I had to go out to tell someone. Additionally there was no AC in the theater and it was extremely warm. Later in the day we went to a different movie and there was sound, but it wasn’t clear. It is advertised as 4D, but it wasn’t 4D. The last time I was there it was 4D. There were no characters in the center like there were the last time I went. On the ride one of the laser guns wasn’t working. There were no ducks in the Hook a Duck. On the bright side the dance at the Rainbow Tree was delightful. The staff member did a great job teaching the dance. It would have been enhanced with a character. It would also be nice to have a staff member picking up the legos that fall on the floor.
