Extremely Disappointing Experience — By Far the Roughest Hotel Stay I’ve Had
This was, without a doubt, the roughest hotel experience I have ever had.
I arrived in Louisiana early and attempted to check in. When I arrived, there was nobody at the front desk, so I called the number posted on the door. A gentleman answered, and he sounded as though he had been asleep. I asked if an early check-in was possible, and he immediately told me no and said there were no rooms available. I understood and told him that was fine and that I would return the following day since my reservation showed a 3:00 PM check-in time.
I returned at 1:57 PM, just over an hour before my scheduled check-in, and the young lady at the front desk told me there were no rooms available. I understood and came back at 2:57 PM, only three minutes before my scheduled check-in time. The same employee again told me there was no room available. Another employee then came over and told me that check-in was actually at 4:00 PM. I pulled up my reservation email to show them that my confirmed check-in time was 3:00 PM.
After that, both employees walked away for approximately 15 minutes before finally finding a room for me. The entire check-in process was frustrating and unnecessarily difficult.
Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there. Around the second or third night, I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom. When I turned on the light, I saw roaches in the room. That was extremely disturbing and completely unacceptable for a hotel stay.
There was also an issue with housekeeping. I asked for a roll of toilet paper, and instead of bringing it to me, they left a partially used roll on the floor outside my room door.
From the difficulty checking in, to the conflicting information from the staff, to discovering roaches in the room, and then receiving a used roll of toilet paper left on the floor, this stay was an incredibly disappointing experience.
I have stayed at many hotels over the years, and this was easily one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I would strongly encourage management to address the customer service, cleanliness, pest control, and housekeeping issues because guests should not have to deal with these problems.

On 7/22/26 after driving 15 hr from east cost and not getting a room at our regular hotel do to being booked, we were able to get a room at BW the reviews looked good.
After checking in went to get something to eat, returned to our room the wife said she’d take the first shower, after a few minutes she calls me to the bathroom to find waters not going down, checked the plug seemed in working condition, went down to desk and spoked to the young lady on duty asked if maintenance was an duty ? She said no asked to talk to the manager she called him and he said he didn’t want to speak to a guest as I informed him I wanted to be compensated or a refund since they didn’t have any other rooms to move us to .
I asked the young lady for a plunger and was able to to get me one , I tried to clear the clog a bunch of hair and other stuff came out but water find go down, I went back down to the dealer and asked for extra towels so I could clean myself with the sink she gave me 4 more towels.
In the morning I informed another front desk employee what happened, he was very apologetic and said he’d leave a re report.
For spending over $200 dollars of hard earned money and not getting close to what I payed for I would strongly suggest that people stay away from Best Western.
