Hubby and I decided to come here for a little getaway. Naperville is such a nice & quiet area. We arrived on 6/6/26 & was in line to check in. There was one person ahead of us & one customer service rep. It took a long time before another worker came to take care of us. We check in and notice how small this hotel was - only two floors. Our room was #103 which had a jacuzzi tub and a king size bed. We had a little difficulty finding the room. We saw the even numbered rooms on the outside but not the odd ones. I had to ask housekeeping where our room was. Ours was inside. To be fair, let me break down the rating for this hotel:
Cleanliness - 6/10
Staff - 7/10
Hotel Decor & Furniture - 5/10
Hot Breakfast - 9/10
Jacuzzi - 9/10
Room - 7/10
Check Out Process - 10/10
This hotel has an ample private parking lot which is great. The outside decor of the hotel was okay, nothing spectacular. Inside the lobby was clean and the wall decor was nice. There is a fireplace for an added touch. The furniture is old and the material is peeling on the lobby chairs, chairs in the kitchen area and even the chair in our room. Staff was pretty friendly but I felt they need more help at the front desk. They were sold out when we were there so waiting as long as we did for assistance wasn't too nice. Hot breakfast had a good selection and the food tasted good. Didn't like that we can't get to the kitchen from the inside - we had to go out of a door outside and walk to the front of the hotel to get there. The room was alright - king bed was very comfy, pillows were extra small. No clock in the room which was very strange. Jacuzzi was nice, not huge. The faucet knobs were modern and sleek looking. I would suggest to put safety bars to make it easier to get in/out of the tub. Shower was relaxing. Bathroom has large size hand wash, shampoo, conditioner containers for use which smelled nice. The ceiling-mounted fire sprinklers you can tell haven't been cleaned in a long time, if ever. There were brown spots all over it (see pic). There was a window but it only showed a side view of the hotel which was an office building nearby. More lighting is needed in the room - there is only one little light in the room, the rest of the lighting were two lamps. TV is the room is a huge PLUS - gotta be around a 55 inch. Check out process was seamless. There isn't a computer room there, just a computer & printer duo when you first walk in (see pic). Best Western has an app but you can't check in/out or unlock the door from it.
We paid a pretty penny for the room and I feel like with the things mentioned above, improvements need to be made. We had a nice stay but we could of enjoyed it more with some updating.
Thanks Best Western.
The manager Susan is a very rude, ignorant, snotty and arrogant person to say the least.
I don't know how she is still working there, considering all the people I've spoken to about her feel the same.
You feel like your waking on eggshells around her and that she is doing you a favor by letting you stay there.
Very unprofessional.
Alot of complaints.
Corporate needs to get involved more and fix this major problem.
We would never ever reconvene this place to others while she is still there.
Other than that the place was very nice.

Beware. I don’t know how this place had an 8.5 rating but this location was below a one in my book. First room smelled like an ashtray. After begging for another room they finally gave me one and when I got in there where bed bugs everywhere. Apparently this is a common issue that many people complain about daily from what I was told. Another guest came out while I was dealing with this staying no hot water and no tv reception. Beware and stay clear. I plan on reporting this place to the health inspector.

its pretty simple really.. DO NOT STAY HERE!
arrived around 11pm after a 10 hr bus ride with a group tour. Got in my room first thing i did was check bed- boom dead bugs. In all layers of bedding. Standing by the desk i got bit on my ankle 3 times and up my calf. Fleas were literally jumping on my shirt as i was walking the halls ...Go down to inform manager- hes deer in headlights deny. Okay, go take pics and literally threw my phone on his desk right in fron of a customer checking in and said those are the bugs in my bed. Now i got his attention, he sees, he acknowledges- HE DOES NOTHING! I refused to go back in, he refused to help.. so he had a roommate all night till my bus left at 830am. I am now in process of preventing my home from being infested because im sure I got hitchhikers. This place is falling apart with mold. One could catch a mrsa infection just by walking in the door. And SIR should you respond to this review.. do not try and deny what pictures prove - YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. Take money from people for disgusting, worn down rooms. This place should be condemned and I will be filing a complaint with further agencies. OH AND THE MILK WAS PAST DATE, SMELLED AWEFUL AND WHEN IT WAS BROUGHT TO THEIR ATTENTION- THEY DID A SNIFF TEST AND SAID NAH ITS FINE AND SET IT RIGJT BACK OUT.
WE HAD PEOPLE SICK ON THE BUS RIDE HOME!!
DO NOT GIVE THIS SLUMLORD YOUR MONEY.
If you decide to stay here after reading all these terrible reviews, I advise you to take every precaution not to pick up hitchhikers in your luggage and have hand sanitizer on you at all times.
