The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Great value for the price, with a convenient location. The breakfast was excellent as well.

Very surprised by this hotel. The rooms we got were large and very clean. Thr hall carpet could use a cleaning, but not disgusting. The breakfast was excellent for a hotel breakfast. Fresh made egg dishes made to order with real eggs, not the stuff in a carton. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. We will return.
The chair was very dirty and the fabric was pilling. The counter had dried food on it. The room smelled weird, and not in a good way. (I'm not one to be sensitive to smell.) The couch looked really cheap. The hallways looked beat up. How does this place have good reviews???
Beware of Separate Sales Tax and Lodging Tax on Pet Fee
Our stay was fine and the hotel was clean. We had a few issues with check in, the type of room requested, and then keys being deactivated. The main issue I had was with the lack of communication and transparency about the separate charges for sales tax and lodging tax on the pet fee.
I made my reservation two months in advance for a King Suite. When we arrived, the front desk said they were sold out of King Suites. After I explained that my original reservation was for a King Suite, they "upgraded" us to a King. I do not understand how this would have happened since I made the reservations months in advance, but at least it got fixed.
The transparency of sales tax and lodging tax on the pet fee needs to be improved. I added my dogs to the reservation notes and completed the digital pre-check-in link the night before—making sure the pet fee was added. This seemed to cause a system glitch. I confirmed via email that the fee would be a flat rate for our one-night stay. The final bill tacked on an undisclosed additional sales tax and lodging tax specifically applied to the pet charge.
When I called to clarify if I was being charged a separate sales tax and lodging tax on the pet fee, the manager gave a confusing explanation involving online entry versus manual front desk entry. While it is not a large amount of money ($1.20 and $0.40), I wanted confirmation as to what those charges represented. Although the manager refunded the sales tax fee of $1.20 as a courtesy, I never felt like I received a straight answer about the hidden taxes.
The Best Western Sawtooth website does not list any detailed information about being charged separate sales and lodging taxes directly on the pet fee. Travelers with pets deserve accurate, transparent pricing disclosures up front, not system glitches and confusing explanations. This information should be stated on the website or explained at check in.

It was my first time staying at The Best Western in Jerome but it was a good place to stay. The room was clean, felt spacious, and overall was super nice. The bathroom was a little small but I would rather have a nice room then a big bathroom lol.
