First, I have to say that the staff at this location was incredibly kind. Service was fantastic and the morning complementary breakfast was wonderful. Staff kept the breakfast while stocked throughout the morning and the food was good. Unfortunately, the room cleanliness was atrocious. The floors were black, there was significant amount of hair, dust, and dirt all over the bathroom as well as in the main room. The toilet seat had not been cleaned. There was hair in the shower on the floor and on the toilet seats. I spilled a bottle of water on the floor upon entering the room and when I went to wipe it up, the towel turned black. These floors were beyond disgusting and going shoeless was never an option inside the room. The elevator is broken and so is the Jacuzzi. The phone in our room was not working and neither was the Microwave. The staff was absolutely wonderful, but the cleanliness of the room will keep us from booking here again.

This was such a bad stay, and unfortunately it was completely avoidable on their part. The pool was completely unusable as the heater was broken and appeared to have been for quite some time....we had a rest day here during which we had planned to spend the day in the pool. During this scorching hot day, I forced my kids out of the pool several times worried they would get sick from the cold, and during the brief period that they decided to play with the water fountains (as pool was too cold to even get into and there was nothing else to do) the manager yelled at them to stop. There was literally nothing to do here. The hot tub was broken down (and clearly had been for a long time), the elevator was broken down (and clearly had been for a long time....sensing a theme here??) the breakfast was bad, the customer service was bad, we were going to be charged a $25 early check in fee for arriving at 3:30pm after a long 3 hour drive in (check in was at 4) and had to leave and come back later to avoid it...this place is in a phenomenal location (Page, Arizona) and so they know people will come no matter what and they BANK on that. No repairs will ever be done here I fear.

I booked the room on Expedia for 1 night. I was not really given the option to pick a view or parking lot room. When I got to the hotel there were like 3 or 4 cars total in the parking lot. The lady that I let in front of me got an upgrade, and it was my turn the front desk lady refused to give me an upgrade claiming that there were none available. The elevator was out of service, the jacuzzi was out of service, and it all felt awful. carrying my 50lbs luggage up the stairs made me unhappy. The room was clean, the view from the patio was great, free coffee around the clock, free breakfast (not great breakfast, but it was ok), the location was good. I think my rating is mostly due to the out of service elevator. The front desk lady was not lying about not having availability as the parking lot was completely full when got back from dinner and only one spot left for me to park.

Just awful experience checking into this hotel today. I arrived 30 mins before check in time and was told I would be charged for an early check in. I declined paying the early check in fee and waited. Then tried to check in again when I discovered that the elevator was broken. I asked for a ground floor room and the lady tells me I will be on the 3rd floor. I told her I had a lot of luggage and didn't want to climb 3 floors with it and instead of explaining that it was only 1 floor up or offering to help with my luggage, she proceeded to suggest I cancel my room and go somewhere else. I had kids with me. We had been traveling all day and we were tired and we just wanted to get our room to relax. Suggesting that a customer cancel their room if they complain about having to carry heavy luggage up the stairs is a preposterous reaction. When I said that we didn't want the hassle of looking for somewhere else to stay, she said she will sort it out. Then she proceeded to help all the customers behind me and treating me like an inconvenience that was just in the way of her "special" customers. While I stood off to the side and my children grew more restless, I started to become increasingly annoyed. After about 2 hours of waiting, a manager finally showed up and I voiced my frustrations and she made excuses to justify everything that happened. Then she clarified with me whether I wanted to stay or whether I wanted to leave and I told her I never asked to cancel my room. She wrote it off as a miscommunication, and finally, 2 hours after my arrival, I was given access to a room. I dont know why it took 2 hours to call the manager. I get that there was only 1 staff at the front to help other customers but that doesnt mean you make the first customer in line wait for 2 hours while you help others. I even lined back up several times to try to get my turn and Denise told me to step aside because she was too busy to deal with me over and over again. She should have called the manager right away if she was too busy to help me. She shouldn't have left me waiting for 2 hours. Absolutely poor decision making skills. After we finally got access to our room, my kids wanted to use the pool. Turns out the hot tub is also broken and the pool is ice cold. The next day was supposed to be our 1 day off from sightseeing and hiking and the intention was to have a pool day. We waited all day for the sun to come to the side of the building that the pool was on hoping that the hot desert sun would balance the chill of the pool. Nope. Its so cold that my kids came out with blue lips after just a short amount of swimming. 1 child couldnt handle the cold so he tried to play with the fountains in the pool area. He didnt break anything or bother any customers. Yet the manager came out and yelled at him to stop. The best part of a vacation for kids is to swim in the hotel pool and this hotel does not allow children to have fun with water. I guess the managers concern was that the water would end up outside the pool. But we're in the desert. The water would dry quickly. Also if this pool was actually usable, water would get outside the pool by people getting out of the pool and dripping everywhere but i guess thats why this hotel keeps the pool so cold. If no one gets in the pool, then the pool area stays dry. God forbid if a child wants to have fun on his vacation. Another problem i had is that this hotel claims to have a view of lake powell. The view is nice and all, but lake powell is a 20 min drive away and cant be seen from this hotel. So the view claims are a scam. At breakfast, the juice machine wasnt working either and the toilet didnt flush properly in our room. This hotel is just in shambles and theyre too cheap to fix anything. They're so cheap they tried to charge me early check in fees for arriving 30 mins early. The staff have no idea how to deal with customers or children. I'm put off from best westerns.

Okay, I think I am done with Best Western. Apparently, 4 o’clock check in is becoming the standard now which sucks. The front desk girl was nice! This hotel is so run down and disgusting. Prior to booking or even the text messages (they send a “survey” to do pre-check in and they ask what time of arrival - I don’t know if I have ever been asked by a hotel) up to arrival there was no communication of the elevator not working and the hot tub. There were beard shavings in the sink, the floor was sticky, not even swept as there were tags from the previous guest on the floor, the sheets had yellow stains all over them so we slept in the bed that didn’t, the walls are so thin!! I accidentally spilled my drink and wiped it up - I knew it was going to be bad but napkin was black like it hadn’t been moped in months. We were so tired to even deal with the front desk with the unhappiness with the quality of the hotel we just dealt. It also says a view of lake Powell but you can’t see the lake. Take your money elsewhere!
