  Called the desk to reserve a room, not a third party website, to make sure I got in touch with an actual employee. Booked the room, gave my card information, got a confirmation number, even signed up for the reward program. I let them know it would be a late check in to which she said it was noted, proceed to drive 500 miles with my family to this location only to be told they gave away my room. The employee proceeds to tell me that my card (which had ample amount of money on it) mustve not gone through or that I spoke with the wrong person. After showing her that money was available and all information presented matched, she had me call the number that I had called to which the phone next to her rang. Awkward. She said they were all out of rooms as another person behind me walked up and checked in. Attitude, argument, and ultimately turning my family and I away after supposedly being "all good" according to the woman on the phone. Book with caution because I stay at hotels often and am careful to ask the important questions before traveling that far. This was 100% on them and absolutely avoidable. If they were booked, I wouldve understood when I called and made other arrangements but this was ridiculous. The employee was the worst as well.

  My wife and I just spent 4 days here celebrating our 50th anniversary. Can’t say enough about the cleanliness and politeness of the staff. I found the owner to be a very respectful to all he encountered. I own a RV park in Auburn Ala. My wife and I know first hand how hard it is to please everyone. They have certainly made our 50th very rememberable. Many thanks

  Lives up to its name. The location is peak. The rooms are pretty. Some are bigger rooms and some are smaller rooms. You don’t get to pick the floor or room you’re in they just pick. If you are coming here on vacation it is very recommended. There is a Zoo nearby y’all NEED to check out. Also there is a lot of food places nearby for y’all to eat at. The hotel has a place called “Island Pancake House” where they sell food. There is a lot of things to do here in Alabama. I highly recommended. 15/15 Stars. I have added some pictures I have taken here in Alabama from the zoo and some others.

  There are a lot of things I could say to convince people that this is the best place to stay in Gulf Shores: the fast and easy check-in, the excellent parking, the walkable shops and restaurants, and the absolutely bonkers proximity to the beach. But what truly sets this place apart from every other hotel I’ve stayed at is the staff. Heather at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with genuine warmth and enthusiasm and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. She even fulfilled a special request to put a photo of Danny DeVito in our room. Why did we request that? Honestly, I have no idea. I make a point of asking for something ridiculous everywhere I stay, and Heather is the first person who has ever actually delivered. That level of service, attention to detail, and willingness to have a little fun turned a great stay into an unforgettable one. We’ll absolutely be back. As long as Heather is still there. ;)

  The Best Western on the Beach has been an amazing stay here at Gulf Shores! The beachfront rooms are lovely with a perfect view and they even have a pancake restaurant on the premises. We appreciate Candy at the front desk for her kindness and the manager Bobby was very accommodating in helping with our late checkout. (That meant a lot 😊) The rooms are clean, the beds are sooo comfy and we loved having a kitchenette in our room for convenience. You can walk to many restaurants and stores from this location as well. I would come back and stay here when I'm in Gulf Shores. 👍🏻 thank you!!
