A room was booked for an overnight stay by WCB so I could visit the Millard service across the street in the morning. I recently moved to bc 2 weeks prior and because I did not have a change of address from my Edmonton location to BC yet they would not allow the booking for me and basically told me they cannot rent to me! The manager stated I should have brought a rental agreement from the residence I am renting to prove what? WCB booked this as they do for all their clients from out of town. Very poor service from the manager, will never rent a room or recommend them to anyone. I had to take a cab from there to another hotel. WORST service I have ever had, this manager should not be working in this industry.

We had a great experience here! Booked a family room for a weekend away with my husband, kids and my mom. The suite was a great size, clean and comfortable. Getting extra coffee and towels was easy. Staff was SO friendly, I have never met more engaged and friendly housekeepers. My family enjoyed the pool and water slides and the location was perfect for access to WEM and the Telus World of Science. My daughter left an item in the room and housekeeping had photographed and kept record and we were able to retrieve her lost stuffy so thank you! She had that since birth. Highly recommend and will return if I need to stay in the North again.

This hotel was recommended by the royal alexandra hospital as I had a surgery booked there for the 11th so I booked a room for my father the night of the 10th and 11th as he was going to have to drive me home afterwards. I received a call from the hospital an hour after I got into the city but not checked in yet at around 4pm on the 10th that my surgery was canceled for the 11th and moved to august. I called the hotel hoping there was something they could do, a partial cancellation for the night of the 11th or even rebook for the date in august but nope, nothing. Charged the full amount for a room I wasn’t going to use. They could have easily put the room back up for availability for the 11th but nope, charged for both nights. Won’t be booking with them when I go in august and will be passing on to the hospital how the hotel they recommend to their patients completely refuses to work with them when something like this happens.

I am deeply disappointed and shocked by the complete lack of empathy shown by the Best Western Plus City Centre Inn in Edmonton during a family crisis. Due to an honest mistake, I accidentally booked the wrong date for a 1-night stay. When I realized the error, I contacted the hotel to fix it. I wasn't asking for a freebie—in fact, I offered to book a 2-night stay to replace the mistaken night. I had just stayed there two nights ago. To make matters worse, my husband is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Between dealing with a medical emergency and trying to correct a simple booking error, the last thing I expected was rigid corporate greed. Despite the circumstances, the Best Western Plus City Centre Inn the Edmonton, completely refused to waive the cancellation fee for the accidental night. Where has basic human decency gone? Keeping a customer’s money under these conditions—while turning down more business—is incredibly short-sighted and cruel. Please think twice before booking with the Best Western Plus City Centre Inn in Edmonton. They care far more about a cancellation fee than they do about their customers *replying to best westerns reply below-— I called the property they said it was against their policy to change a no refundable reservation. I talked to Expedia and they were willing to change it on their end but said it was Best Western that wouldn’t do it. I didn’t want a refund I wanted to book the two 2 nights that I needed instead of the one I booked by accident. I even offered to upgrade my room. I wanted to stay at that location because it was close to the hospital where I need to be.

I can see they are understaffed and the girl at the front was trying to answer calls and check guests in, I give 5 stars because she is friendly and is doing her best, the layout of the hotel is very spread out not like a normal high rise hotel but its nice because the lady gives you a map and tells you the best way to access your room and you can just drive right to the door, the rooms are nice and clean I have no complaints except the long walk to get ice, first world problems.
