  I had an extremely upsetting and humiliating experience with Guenevere Murray at the Sunglass Hut location in Conestoga Mall. I was browsing sunglasses in the store and then left and continued shopping elsewhere in the mall. Later, while walking past Sunglass Hut, Gwen came out of the store, stopped me in the mall, and loudly accused me of stealing two pairs of sunglasses. She continued yelling and verbally confronting me in a public area, causing a very embarrassing scene. Gwen claimed that I had been “caught on camera.” When I asked to see the footage, she became flustered, apologized, and told me I could “just go.” At no point was I shown any footage or given any evidence to support the accusation. Being publicly stopped, yelled at, and falsely accused of theft was deeply humiliating. I felt singled out and discriminated against, especially because the accusation appeared to have been made without properly verifying the facts beforehand. Sunglass Hut management later offered me complimentary sunglasses in response to the situation, but that does not undo the humiliation, embarrassment, or distress caused by being publicly accused of stealing. This incident should never have been handled this way. In my opinion, an employee who publicly confronts and falsely accuses a customer of theft without properly verifying the facts should not continue representing the company. GUEN’s behaviour was completely unprofessional, and I do not believe she should still be working at this company after the way this situation was handled. She was a terrible representation of Sunglass Hut, and I hope the company takes this matter seriously and ensures no other customer experiences the same treatment.

  Melisa was our Sales Associate at the SunGlass Hut in the Conestoga Mall in Waterloo. Melisa was second to none in providing us with a genuinely wonderful customer experience. Her knowledge and patience and friendly disposition made us feel extremely comfortable and important. Thank You Melisa

  Fantastic service both times I was in this week. First, buying Ray Ban Meta ai glasses for a bday gift. Second, getting help with a software issue with the glasses (obviously no fault of the store). Super friendly and helpful!
