I went to this location on Saturday (April 25/26) and tried on a few pairs of jeans. When I went to the change room, I had asked the associate (very pleasant) what she would like for me to do with the items that didn’t work out, she advised me to just leave them in there and they would take care of it. This didn’t strike me as out of the norm as the previous week, I was at the Masonville location and the associate there ALSO told me this. Please keep in mind that I’m in the room approximately three steps away from the table they use to fold the discarded clothing items until they can be put back in there correct spot. When I cam out, I left the clothes there as previously instructed and shopped around some more. While I was actively checking out, another associate who I assume took over the change room came out carrying the items I had left. She’s a mid 20’s brunette, maybe hispanic (?) sales associate. She proceeds to slam the items on the counter and complain to the woman ringing me through: “If you can see the change room is boiling over, why would you leave items in there? So unbelievably rude and disrespectful, like rude people should seriously try and work retail”. The tone she had in her voice was so off putting and almost … self righteous? Like she’s doing god’s work by putting a few pairs of jeans away. Now, I’m not sure she knew it was me who had left the items in there, but whether she knew or not ….. Maybe don’t have those conversations IN FRONT of customers? Especially when the thing you’re up in arms about was due to YOUR coworkers direction. Also, what difference would the three steps from the change room to the table make for you, realistically? I didn’t say anything in the moment and I probably should have, and had I not been mid way through a transaction, I probably would have left without purchasing anything. I won’t be returning based purely on the way this associate spoke regarding something so seemingly insignificant, if she’s comfortable being blatantly rude in front of customers, I can only imagine how she is behind the scenes.
