Very disappointed with our stay. We were told over the phone that early check-in, late check-out, and a specific room would all be accommodated, but upon arrival we were informed that none of those requests were guaranteed. I understand human errors happen, especially with newer employees, and the employee on the phone was actually very friendly. The issue was the amount of incorrect information we were given beforehand and the cold interaction that Jasmine gave me while reciting all the rules of the hotel, wasn't a good start to our stay in Heber.
To Jasmin’s credit, she ultimately did allow our early arrival and honored the room we had been promised over the phone after I explained the situation, but I didn't appreciate having to push her a little to do these things that I was told would be accommodated on the phone.
The front desk interaction with Jasmine felt cold and unwelcoming, I do not recall any apology for the misinformation. She did hand me a bag with some snacks in it, that everyone gets and flatly said the hotel welcomed me. However, she would not approve a late check-out at that time and instructed us to call the front desk the next morning. At that point, we simply decided to leave as early as possible instead.
We were also told that neither our prior website booking requests nor my phone call had ever been logged into the system. To make matters worse, the next day both of our room keys suddenly stopped working and locked us out of our room, forcing us to return to the front desk to have them reset. Honestly, I wondered why this happened and didn't have a good feeling about it.
The room itself was nice, but the hotel is located on a very busy road with constant traffic, including semi trucks and speeding cars throughout much of the day and night. For paying around $225 per night, the overall experience left us feeling very uncomfortable and not good about our stay at all.
I also completed the hotel’s follow-up survey afterward and never received any response. Then, after we returned home, we received an email stating that our requests for early check-in and late check-out had not been approved, even though we had already stayed there and had been partially accommodated. Overall, the experience was frustrating and poorly handled. We will not be staying here again.
