WHERE DO I BEGIN?!? We booked a reservation in the early morning hours of Monday, the 6th, in which the room was booked with my card and under my boyfriend's name and I was added to the reservation upon arrival. The bald black man at the front desk was more than accommodating with adding me to the reservation and even switched my room with no problem once I realized my initial room was close to the elevator. I was also informed of a $100 security deposit, which I've never experienced at a hotel before, just only needing a card on file for incidentals.
HOWEVER, my repeated interactions with the short Hispanic lady with long black hair at the front desk, I believe her name is Cindy, was nothing but unpleasant! With every interaction she was short and rude, and it seemed like you were inconveniencing her. I called about charges on my card, it which she was short and snappy and replied it was an authorization fee. I wasn't informed a whole night's stay would be an authorization fee. Next, I needed another room key, since the two of us only received one. Cindy was at the front desk again. I asked if she needed my ID in which she quickly says "No", hands me the key and goes back to acting like I wasn't standing there. The following day or so, my boyfriend extends our stay, and switches the card on file to his. He also says, his encounter with Cindy was unpleasant during this process. He also informs me he received a new room key and I'll have to get a new one from the front desk once I return. After a long day, I get back to the hotel to get a new room key, in which Cindy informs me, I'm not on the reservation for our room, and I couldn't get a key. I explain to her I was on the original reservation and it was booked with my card. She says my boyfriend has to add me on the reservation in person. I then have to go interrupt my boyfriend at work to get his room key and drive back to the hotel.
THEN, I called on the day of check out because I'm seeing the initial charges for the room were no longer showing on my account. When I called, once again Cindy answers the phone. I asked if she can check some charges on a room for me. She says she can't find that reservation for not only me, but also my boyfriend. She then, asks me in a rude manner, if I was calling the right hotel and what hotel was I trying to call. I ended the phone call after realizing I was not going to get anywhere with her terrible attitude and lack of professionalism. After thinking the hotel charged the updated card on file, I see they in fact put the whole stay on the wrong card! Which is why I called in the morning to avoid this whole situation.
This was my first time staying at a Best Western and the overall experience was terrible! I would NOT recommend staying at this location, especially if you enjoy hospitality and professionalism because you won't get it here!
