  I went to Houston to help a family member who lives 6 minutes from the hotel. I ended up extending my stay twice, for a total of 15 nights. My whole stay was great - no complaints! Room was spacious, clean, well-maintained and well-lit. AC worked great. Towels and linens were bright white and bedsheets stayed cool. Pillows were plentiful and the mattress was soft and comfortable. The free breakfast was always well stocked: waffles (that you make), assorted breads, fresh fruit, yogurt from a machine, oatmeal, little cereal boxes, scrambled eggs, tater tots, and they alternated bacon/sausage every other day. They also had tortillas and biscuits, and I think they had gravy too. The coffee station was available 24 hrs a day, which I loved. If you have a car, be aware that there is an additional daily fee to park, but that's to be expected from downtown hotels. They have a front and back parking lot, and in the evenings, cones are set up to make sure that only hotel guests park there. Security will check your parking permit and move the cones to let you in. On several nights, I returned very late, and I appreciated that security was monitoring the lots. The staff is friendly, and I especially enjoyed hearing housekeeping singing as I passed the room she was cleaning. (Although if she realized I was walking by, she would stop.) My room was on the 3rd of 4 floors, and although the elevator worked well, I often took the stairs because it felt very safe to do so, and I could park steps away from the side doors. The hotel is within easy access to the freeways, and with a car, you're a short distance from grocery stores, Specs, drug stores, fast food, & other restaurants. There is a small pool that looked inviting, but I never had a chance to use it. There is also a small fitness center that I didn't get to use either. I did however use the ice machine every day, and it also has a spout for you to fill up your water bottle. To sum it up: great hotel, great staff, great room, very safe, and well managed! I highly recommend this hotel!

  Booked for two nights cause of the location it was near the zoo and aquarium. We checked in late and left right away to celebrate my daughter birthday. Got back around 11pm and went to sleep. Woke up the next morning and found head lice on my glasses that were on the bedside table Called front office and explained and at first all she offered was to change the bed sheets and send maintenance to spray bug spray. That she couldn’t offer us a refund until we spoke to a manager the next day. We told her we were still checking out. Packed our things and left and headed down the street to buy head lice medicine. Would not recommend staying here. This is the lice that was on my glasses. We ended up getting our refund but this was just nasty and definitely ruined our trip

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had such a great stay, and these three ladies truly made the experience even better! Leslie was amazing every morning. She made the best waffles, always greeted us with a smile, and made sure we were happy with our food. She would always check in to see if we needed anything else, and you could tell she genuinely cared about making everyone’s morning start off right. Audrey was always so cheerful and smiling. Her positive attitude was contagious, and she made everyone feel welcome the moment they walked in. Krystal brought such great energy every single day. Whether we were coming in or heading out, she always greeted us with a smile and made sure we were doing okay. We had some really great conversations over breakfast, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The customer service from all three of these ladies was exceptional. They made us feel like more than just guests—they made us feel at home. They’re the kind of people who make you want to come back, and I definitely will. Thank you, Leslie, Audrey, and Krystal, for making our stay so memorable!

  This place is nasty. First, there was a giant wet spot on the floor, staff was notified, they just came and laid out some towels. When we were about to go bed we saw what appeared to be blood and pubic hair on the sheets. I was finally moved to a different room around 11pm with my two small children. I was told by staff that I could contact manager on Monday, given my stay was on a Friday night. Every time I have called the manager is not there.
