  We stayed at this hotel recently, and our experience was just average. The rooms were what you would expect for the price; everything was clean and in good condition. There was only one towel, but when we asked for more, they brought them immediately. The front desk also provided free toothpaste, and the staff was friendly. The hotel is well-located for the area and offers free parking—a definite advantage, as not all nearby hotels do. However, there were two particular downsides. The elevator was unreliable; on three occasions, we had to use the emergency stairs. The other issue was breakfast: upon arrival, we were told—and the posted information confirmed—that it ran until 10:00 AM on Sundays. Yet, when we went down at 9:30 AM, it was already closed, and another staff member told us it ended at 9:00 AM. We missed out on breakfast entirely due to this major communication and operational error, which needs to be fixed. It is a hotel that covers the basics; it isn't luxurious or particularly attractive, but I would recommend it for short stays in the area if you want to save money. If budget isn't an issue, there are other options very close by.

  First and foremost I’d like to say thank you so much to Dede for making my 2 week stay here smooth and easy. It was a joy waking up every morning and seeing her down there. It’s a pretty decent hotel they are clean and you feel safe here. I’d recommend anyone who’s on a budget but want something in a decent neighborhood to stay here.

  I had a great stay here. It's clear that they fairly recently upgraded The hotel rooms and the lobby so disregard older reviews. The staff here was awesome and the rooms were clean. There's a guy that worked in the afternoons, I think his name was Leon, was great and super friendly. I couldn't believe the number of food options in the surrounding area. I also like that everywhere I needed to go was between 15 and 20 minutes away, so the location was perfect. Also, I want to praise them for having free parking. It seems like every hotel in Houston charges for parking now. Free parking and free breakfast were my top criteria when searching hotel.

  I had a great stay at Best Western in Houston\. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Houston.

  The primary issue is the neighborhood. There are two adult entertainment businesses close by and I think clients might be using it for after parties. The hotel itself is older but clean, with a pool. There was a heavy odor of Marijuana and there were lots of younger people visiting rooms that were noisy. The primary issue was that our daughters (22 and 17) were in a room down the hall and around the corner. We got off the elevator and there was a man (who appeared to be high) leaning against the wall they were going to have to walk past. I walked them to their room and he followed us around the corner to see what room they were in. I called my husband and asked him to come to their room instead of ours. When my husband walked up, he left. We stayed for a while and we went to our room. No sign of the guy. They called and asked us to bring them something and he was sitting on the floor next to their room. He called the front desk and they came in to remove him. They walked him out and watched him get in his car to leave.
