  We booked 4 nights here after our vrbo cancelled on us last minute. That ended up being a blessing. The hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet, reasonably priced, and centrally located to all the historic sites. We loved being able to come back in the middle of the day for a quick rest before we went out again. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast bar each morning had so many options. We would definitely stay here again.

  We stayed here in a last minute decision and were so glad we did. I love this hotel, the location is perfect in Old City. The room was great, the pillows (which are important) were very comfortable. The women who maintained the breakfast area did a wonderful job and were very polite. I look forward to staying again.

  Stayed here during a recent trip to Philadelphia and unfortunately had a poor experience. Our room never cooled below 78 degrees overnight, even after multiple calls to the front desk. Staff acknowledged they were having cooling issues and eventually brought up a box fan, but the room remained very uncomfortable. Customer service also felt dismissive at times, and simple requests like towels were handled incorrectly. The location is excellent, but for the price and reputation, the stay did not meet expectations.

  First Impressions are the Strongest. I believe Google Reviews are an important part of a person’s research when planning a trip. This review is for anyone thinking about staying at Independence Park Hotel. Our flight landed at PHL around 2:00pm on Thursday May 7, 2026. We arrived at this hotel around 2:45pm. When I went to the front desk to check in I was told that Check In was not until 4:00pm. He then said we could pay an Early Check In Fee if we wanted to check now. I asked if he had a place we could store our luggage until we checked in and he said yes. We went down the street to get something to quick to eat because we had a couple of tours booked for the afternoon and evening. While we ate I checked my email from Independence Park Hotel and their check in time is 3:00pm not 4:00pm as we were told. It was definitely a bad first impression when the first person we talked to working at the hotel tells us the wrong check in time and attempts to squeeze a little more money from us because we arrived 15 minutes early. The hotel didn’t refund us any money when we checked out of both rooms 3 hours early. Google limits there reviews to only a few words. Had we had a better first experience with this hotel, we could have gone into greater detail about the many positive aspects of the hotel and everyone else that works there. The rooms are small. Our group stayed in rooms 202 and 502.

  The location is fantastic. You can literally walk to all the main points in the old city and it is also well connected to public transit. The hotel is very clean and the rooms were also very clean and well maintained. The entire hotel staff, right from the front desk to the maintenance and staff are very polite and nice. The breakfast was ok and could do better with their options but otherwise this place is a great place to stay at. I really enjoyed my stay here.
