  This hotel is a mixed bag. I didn't see any roaches or bedbugs like others have reported but....there's a lot that could be improved here. Pros: This hotel is one of the cheaper ones in this area. The location is great, many restaurants nearby and there's a subway station within walking distance. The restaurant below the lobby is also decent. Cons: The guy running the front desk during the night shift gives you no customer service. He's not very welcoming and just wants to get everything over with ASAP. The hotel's interior is very dated and hallways smell musty because there's no air circulation. The walls/doors are thin, you can hear people in their rooms as you walk down the hall. The hotel's breakfast is very limited and the only things they make fresh are probably hard boiled eggs and sausages. The rooms are standard sized but the thermostat on the HVAC unit is way off so you have to adjust for that. The flight path into LaGuardia goes right over this area so you'll hear planes flying overhead all day and late into the night (use earplugs if you're a light sleeper). The most disappointing aspect was cleanliness. The drain in the bathtub was clogged. The shower head could never get full pressure. Cleaning staff replaced bedsheets with ones that had hair on them, and towels with ones that had holes in them.

  I was a guest in Best Western hotel in Flushing NY. I met the front desk lady Pei Ling. She was very polite, kind , active and full of patience! I was very much impressed by her friendly and understanding nature. —S.R
