I put a dopsit for 100 and I ask the lady will I get it back as long as the room wasn't damaged, so I checked out early, and called the front desk, and know they are refusing to give me my deposit on my card, and vthe lady I talk to was rude
Upon arrival, I was checked into the suite that I had reserved, however, once I got to the room it was already occupied. This could have gone bad but instead Daniel and desk staff made sure to make it right and got us a different room to match our needs. Dinner at Normandy and had wonderful service and a great vibe that feels like a real French Street Cafe. Courtyard pool area is a charming throwback to the era of themed hotels. Common areas are vintage elegance and ample for some some hang time.
The manager Daniel is so incredibly rude. We heard him being rude to the girl in front of us and we were greeted with the same sour attitude. The main reason we stayed here is because it’s close to the armory. If the manager treats and talks to people that way, we won’t ever be back.
If I could give 0 stars I would have. While the room itself is at best fine, I had reserved a room with 2 queen beds but instead got 1 bed. When I went down to get it switched the person at the desk wove an unbelievably elaborate story about some change in management where the previous manager oversold rooms, and this new manager was supposed to be here today but his flight was delayed but should be here tomorrow. No rollaway beds and no offers to remedy or do anything about the situation. Worst part was that they were dishonest about the entire situation.
Also the WiFi doesn’t work in the room and while they had someone look into they wanted me to call the WiFi service provider to get it fixed. Not sure when I became an unpaid hotel employee.

Unless you’re desperate and have no other options, you can go ahead and skip The Normandy. Everything about our experience was bad.
They messed up our reservation, and my wife spent an hour going around with them getting it straightened out. Then our car got broken into in their supposedly secured paid parking lot. The fridge in our room was broken, and housekeeping never stopped by, meaning we used the same towels our entire stay. The front desk staff were jerks who were super short with us, and didn’t meet Best Western standards (we know because my wife works at a Best Western), so we were never able to have the fridge or towels addressed. To top it all off, there is no continental breakfast, instead they rely on a restaurant on property that is incredibly overpriced.
The only good thing about the Normandy is its downtown location, near lots of city attractions.
As I said, it should be a skip. If our room hadn’t been non refundable, we would have packed up, and stayed elsewhere.
