  Fantastic place to stay and enjoy the North Shore of MN. Had a very nice room with sleeper sofa couch, balcony, walk-in shower. The breakfast is great - the best yogurt i've ever had, egg casseroles, cranberry bread plus the usual hotel breakfast stuff (cereal etc.). Dined here too for 1 dinner - had a delicious salad and sandwich. There's a small bar in the lobby with a good selection. Very professional and polite staff. It's not an inexpensive place to stay - but the proximity to town (can walk to businesses) is another bonus. A hotel that is really in a class by itself. Did note "great value" in the review because i think for what one gets as a guest is as good as can be experienced at high-end hotels in other locations.

  We were just here for the 4th of July and everything exceeded expectations. Location was perfect as it's right on the beach and an easy walk to all the shops. Rooms were very clean and the double shower head was amazing! Nice touch. Every staff member was so kind and accommodating. The employee tending the breakfast buffet every morning also did a wonderful job keeping everything in stock and the dining area was warm and inviting. The gym was also great - again so clean. Nice job Best Western!

  Excellent updated rooms all with views of Lake Superior. Very friendly and helpful staff, family owned over multiple generations. Nice breakfast in Lodge type room. Walkable to downtown and lighthouse.

  Great stay, clean rooms, awesome view of Lake Superior! In case your pulling a trailer and coming in late there is additional parking behind gas station next to hotel. Will definitely stay here again!

  Rooms have sliding barn door style bathroom door. There is a gap. Bathroom not private.
