Great employees, HORRIBLE housekeeping. I am honestly very torn about writing this review because the employees we have dealt with have been wonderful. The assistant manager was very nice, and both of the night-shift front desk girls have been incredibly sweet and helpful. They have done everything they can to make things right, and I truly appreciate them. Unfortunately, the condition of this hotel and the housekeeping has made this one of the worst Best Western stays we have ever experienced. We are in Battle Creek working, so after working all day, the first thing I want when I get back to the hotel is a shower and a clean, comfortable room. Instead, TWO nights in a row, we came back to our room with absolutely NO towels. None. Not one bath towel, hand towel, or washcloth. The first night, one of the sweet night-shift employees actually had to go dry towels so she could give us clean ones. I felt terrible that she had to deal with a housekeeping problem that wasn't her fault. Then tonight, it happened AGAIN. I specifically requested housekeeping this morning because I wanted to make sure our room was taken care of and that we would have towels when we returned. When we got back tonight, the sheets had simply been thrown over the bed, some trash had been removed, but there weren't even trash bags put back in the garbage cans. And once again, NO TOWELS. The room itself is also in terrible condition. The floors are filthy, the bathtub has paint peeling off all over the place, and the overall cleanliness is nowhere near what I expect from a Best Western. And this actually started when we checked in. We had to change rooms because there was hair in the bathtub in our original room. That should have been my first warning. We travel for work and stay in hotels all over the country. We really like Best Western and usually choose one whenever there is one available. That is why this experience is especially disappointing. This is, without a doubt, the worst Best Western we have ever stayed in. What makes this review difficult is that the front desk employees have been so kind and have tried to help us every time we've had an issue. They deserve recognition because they are doing their jobs and then having to clean up the mess left by housekeeping. But at the end of the day, I paid for a clean hotel room, towels, basic housekeeping, and a comfortable place to stay. I shouldn't have to come back from work wondering whether I'll have a towel to shower with. I really hope management takes this seriously because this hotel has employees who genuinely seem to care, but the housekeeping situation is unacceptable. I would love to be able to recommend this Best Western, but based on this stay, I simply cannot. EDIT- I forgot to include the pictures and the bench that is rotting and almost took my coworker to the ground

  The first room wasn't clean at all with trash bags and unmade beds. The second room that i stayed still had food in the frig

  Garbage.... bring your own towels and the soap is in the little bottles which garbage. Has new owners that are worse than the old owner. Breakfast is complete garbage. Place is a dump! I have towels at home just like these..... in the garage to wax cars with! One star would not recommend!

  They have extremely rude staff they are over priced alot of rooms heaters/ A/C barely function properly, and I seen a cock roach there i wouldnt reccomend them at all

  One of the hardest mattress ive ever slept on. My back is so sore
