Worst hotel experience I've ever had. The hotel is old and run down, poorly maintained, understaffed, dirty, broken, and sketchy as heck! There are 3 floors in the building we stayed in. No ice, no elevator, no housekeeping. The front desk is in a separate building out front so once you go to your assigned building, it's just you and the other guests. The cafe next door is delicious, but that's the only saving grace. It's several miles from the heart of Freeport so if you were planning to walk, bring good shoes.
Could not find the vending machine on one of the three floors. The cleaning staff didn’t know enough English to help me.
Rooms are all decorated and in good condition however our room had a strange smell. Not sure if someone was here before smoking cigarettes or marijuana, but it was immediately noticeable when you walked in. After being in the room for 15 minutes, you didn’t notice it, however, there’s something going on. These are supposedly non-smoking rooms however they do allow pets, so it is likely that the rug underneath and around the beds could’ve been the source of the smell.
We will be back, but I will be on the lookout for smelly rooms before I unload my luggage.

This was a disappointment, the first room we were put in smelled like urine and musty. We talked to the front desk and the manager was able to change us into another room. That room was okay, the AC had to be off our entire stay because of the strong odor (Its August and muggy). The internet did not work, and the tv only had the channels working and not any apps. The room definitely needed some cleaning done. Luckily we were there for only a night. Huge room to improve, has potential.

While the room appeared clean on the surface, our stay was disappointing due to a severe lack of maintenance. The property is pet friendly, but turning on any of the fans in the room immediately released an overwhelming, musty dog smell.
The hotel is tired and in desperate need of repairs. Our door jamb was broken, which made it tricky to shut the door securely. Front desk was informed of the door needing repair but just complained the contractor messed up all the doors when replacing the locks. In the bathroom, the bathtub faucet would not turn off completely, forcing us to listen to running water all night. Highway noise was constant and loud because of the thin single pane windows. You could open the windows for fresh air, but none of them had screens. Between the odors, the noise, and the broken fixtures, this property needs significant updates.

The hotel has a very interesting location, right off of Route1, Overlooking 295. So it can be rather noisy with traffic. There is no breakfast, but there is a cute little breakfast and lunch joint right next door.
The room leave something to be desired. Although it looks good initially, the ceiling has maybe some water damage on it. The smoke detector light is very bright. The refrigerator was on maximum setting, so ran all night. And seems to be very badly ventilated. The Air Conditioner is really loud.
It's expensive too! $200. One weekend night.
