  Pool and hot tub had algae, neither was clean. Carpeting disgusting. Shower was creaking and spongy. Bed was comfortable.

  We were there on a family emergency. We were tired coming from Texas and there were not enough towels, 1 half roll of toilet paper, and the complimentary containers of body soap, shampoo ect... were empty. I went to the front desk to get towels and toilet paper and asked if they provided complimentary shampoo or conditioner. His response was the room was not ready, handed me the items, didn't offer to send someone to get the room ready or offer another room that was ready. Next time, I will ask if room is ready. Also, vending machines were empty. Good customer service goes a long way.

  Older building that has had some updates in spots. Nice landacape and bison on the walls. Easy to check in. No pets allowed which for my family is nice. Bed was more firm almost hard but did not have any dips in it. The linens are soft and well used. The pillows were the smaller size ones but still usable. The bathroom was tight in being able to move around. The door barely cleared the toilet and it was not set up for anyone more than one person in there at a time due to the space issues. Shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers were mounted in the shower but were not operable. Would be more appealing to just take them off. The bathtub/shower stall had a cracking sound when you moved around and it did not make for a comfortable experience. Not sure if it was going to break or support anyone. We are not extra large so it was a little scary to use. The towels and washrags were in desperate need of being replaced. They were well used and not soft. The room smelled of dampness and mold. When we opened the fridge, there was an obvious moldly odor that was present. Couldn't even begin to use it. Floors cracked in spots when walking and it felt as if something was "shifting" under each step. The air conditioner never cooled off the room as expected. We always bring a fan so that at least helped some. There is a big gap under the door, larger than we have seen before so we had to put a towel on the floor near the door to block the light. The hallway carpets on the second floor were dirty and needed to be cleaned, not just vacuumed. The hallways were set for a temperaturw of 78 and it made the walk to the room even more unappealing. Also the 78 degree temperatures pushed that air into the rooms. The breakfast was nothing special. Coffee dispenser racks where the coffee cups sit need to be deep cleaned. The waffle battle was too thin to produce a good crispy waffle. We understand stretching things, but there it makes a mushy waffle when the batter is thinner. Again, a tip jar on the counter. We do not understand why. This is not the only motel that does this, but it does not make any sense. The overall smell as you walk into the front door exudes a tired, unkept, building overall. A true loving deep clean and brighter pain schemes would help to brighten the overall first impression. Seems more of a place that is just a one night stop in the road, but does not match the usual cleanliness from a Best Western. Not sure we would stay again.
