Small 2-story, 2* hotel tucked into a residential area. Currently undergoing construction. Front desk is a table at the front door with no main entrance, no breakfast available. Wasn't told about that when booking.
Rooms are on the smaller size but clean with newer flooring and furniture. The kid friendly pool is open and even has a slide.
Biggest issues are the hotel location being in a less than favorable neighborhood, landscaping hasn't been maintained, and the construction (bad timing in my part).
Business is under remodel, so dust everywhere. Breakfast at a different hotel, ice machine broke. This was never disclosed at the time I made the reservation. This is not a PLUS hotel. Prices too high for this condition.

The bed was clean and comfortable and had a nice work space but it was not the cleanist motel. They are doing some renovations, so hopefully it will get better. The staff was friendly and helpful.

You're staying here because you are on I-70 en route to somewhere else, so don't expect the Ritz and you will be just fine. The location and rooms are very quiet, we didn't hear anything. We had an updated room, all bedding and linens were brand new, the shower was redone, everything was clean. Honestly was perfect for a one night stay. Again, it's a Best Western, it's not gonna have bed turn down service or a concierge.

Straight up, this is the worst hotel bearing the "Best Western" name that I have ever stayed at.
As soon as I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by the sight of shoes and socks strewn all over the lobby. A little league baseball team had booked the hotel and were having a pizza party in the lobby -- which was too small to begin with. The socks and shoes were because the pool is right by the lobby and the parents just let the kids run wild between the pizza and the pool. It's up to the hotel staff to maintain a presentable facility for other guests.
Things didn't get any better when I got up to the room. The smell of chemical cleaning agents was so strong that my wife -- who is sensitive to strong odors -- developed a severe headache and wanted to sleep in our car in the parking lot.
The only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 is that, in a complete plot twist, this hotel has a better breakfast (i.e., more variety) than most.
Given the experience, this hotel was SEVERELY over-priced. I had a 1000% better experience (and half the price) in the middle of nowhere in Hays, KS just 6 days earlier. If you're going west, stay in Hays. If you're going east, stay in Topeka. Whatever you do, don't stop in Salina if that's not your final destination.
