I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable.
On the first night, one of the towels in our room was dirty. I didn't make a big deal about it and simply asked for a clean one.
The second night, around 11:00 p.m., I had just finished showering when I heard someone trying to open our hotel room door. They were actually able to unlock and open it. I quickly tried to shut the door, ran to put clothes on, and while I was doing that, they continued trying to come in. When I got to the door, I realized it was another family who had been assigned the exact same room. I yelled, "There's already someone in here!"
My husband went outside to confirm what had happened, and sure enough, the front desk had assigned them our room.
I immediately called the front desk, and the only response I received was, "I'm sorry." That was it. There was no sense of urgency, no reassurance, and no effort to make the situation right.
At that point, I was so upset that we packed our belongings and checked out. After something like that, I no longer felt safe staying there. If we had stepped out for dinner, someone else could have entered our room and our belongings could have been stolen. Even worse, if this hadn't been another family but someone with bad intentions, the situation could have been much more serious.
This was a major breach of guest safety and privacy. I cannot recommend staying here based on our experience.
