  I booked this hotel on a whim when I found out I needed accommodations close to Stanford University and did not have much time to think. Turned out very well for my travel needs! First off, their staff is great. I had booked two rooms for our group and called several times to verify some things (request for our two rooms to be on same floor and request to combine separate reservations for same room when we had to add an additional day and asking about holding luggage). Their staff helped address and resolve my questions and took care of my requests, so I am very thankful they were so helpful and friendly before and during my stay. Lots and lots of pluses for staying here. For one, free daily hot breakfast with a menu that has slightly different hot offerings each day. The rooms are large and pretty clean. They provided a welcome gift of a bottle of water and a granola bar, which came in clutch for the day when I needed the refreshments. They have a parking lot with free parking if you drive here. If not, the location is close to a bus stop. Food-wise, a Jack in the Box is next door for late night eats and the supermarket across the street has a taqueria so you are set for groceries and more food options. Only slight downsides are 1) our room door requires us to be more proactive in making sure it's closed; it stayed ajar and open if we just left the door go; and 2) the lobby is not directly connected to the rooms, so you have to walk out of the lobby door to get to the rooms and the stairs to the second floor is uncovered (not too bad on a sunny day, but can be a meh experience if raining). If I am back in the Stanford University or Redwood City area, this Best Western Plus Executive Suites location would be my choice of stay.

  Be careful going to this location. The workers have sticky fingers. I know for a FACT I left my necklace in my room. After my visit I called and they said I could come back and look for it since housekeeping had not cleaned yet. I go back to check and the necklace is no where to be found. Someone must’ve went to grab the necklace after we hung up the phone. I know for a fact it was there.

  I can hardly believe the service here. It’s honestly disappointing, especially for a Best Western Plus — the experience doesn’t match the brand’s usual standard at all. I’ve seen other guests complain about the WiFi, and while it is extremely slow, that’s not even my main concern. The room service is by far the worst I’ve experienced. It really makes me question the housekeeping standards. The tissue box was empty, and both the shampoo and conditioner bottles were completely used up and not replaced. The breakfast was also very disappointing — the food was clearly not fresh. The patties and eggs looked and tasted like they had been sitting overnight rather than being prepared that morning. On top of that, the front desk setup feels unprofessional, with a breakfast table placed almost right in front of it, which gives a poor first impression. I’ve stayed at smaller Best Western properties before, and none of them were like this. To make matters worse, there was even a large spider in the room, which raises concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, this stay has been far below expectations.
