Overall, our stay was about 3 stars. Daniel, the manager, was very kind and accommodating when I explained that I was dealing with some health issues and needed a lower-level room. He was able to move us to the first floor, and I really appreciated his help.
The complimentary breakfast was also good and offered a nice variety of hot and cold options.
The rooms, however, were disappointing. It looked like there had been some attempts to update them, but the renovations felt poorly done and the overall room still had an older, lower-end feel. The room had a musty smell, the carpet could use a deeper cleaning, and the A/C units could definitely use updating as well. Both rooms we stayed in faced the freeway, and the traffic noise was extremely loud inside.
At nearly $200 per night, I expected more, especially from a Best Western. I have stayed at other Best Western properties, and unfortunately this one had one of the more lower-end feels of the ones I have experienced. The helpful staff and complimentary breakfast were definite positives, but the property itself could really benefit from better-quality renovations, updated A/C units, deeper cleaning, and improved soundproofing.

When we arrived, our room had no towels. We also found spiders in the room, including one in the bathroom, which immediately caused us to question the cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel. We have attached photographs documenting the spider and our reservation confirmation.
We requested housekeeping service and specifically asked to be placed on the list to have our room cleaned and our bed made the following morning. Despite those requests, housekeeping repeatedly failed to service our room. Our bed was left unmade, our used towels remained on the floor and were never picked up or replaced, and the room became increasingly dirty throughout our stay.
One of the most upsetting parts of our stay was the way we were treated by Adam at the front desk. Each time we went to him with concerns about our room, he did not seem interested in helping us. Instead, he stood there grinning while we explained everything that had gone wrong. I asked him, “Are you grinning at me?” and he replied, “Yes, that’s correct. I am grinning.” I found that response extremely disrespectful, especially when we were simply asking for the room and service we had paid for.
On top of that, every time we spoke with Adam—whether it was in the afternoon or evening—he greeted us by saying, “Good morning.” When we questioned why he kept saying that, he told us it was because he worked the midnight shift and it was his morning. While we understand he works overnight, his attitude and the way he interacted with us made us feel as though our concerns were being dismissed instead of taken seriously.
Because our concerns were not being addressed, we contacted Best Western Customer Service and opened a complaint ticket. The following day, we spoke directly with the hotel manager. After speaking with the manager, our room was serviced only once. Unfortunately, for the remainder of our stay, housekeeping again failed to clean the room, make the bed, remove the dirty towels, or provide fresh towels.
Another disappointment was the fitness center. I work out every day as part of my regular morning routine, and one of the reasons I chose this hotel was because it advertised a fitness center. However, several pieces of exercise equipment were inoperable, making it impossible for me to complete my normal workout routine during our stay. This was another advertised amenity that the hotel failed to provide.
In addition to the lack of housekeeping, the room had a strong musty odor throughout our stay, and the overall condition of the room made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Despite bringing these issues to the attention of hotel staff on multiple occasions, they were never properly resolved.
As a loyal Best Western Rewards member, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, professionalism, and customer service. Instead, we experienced repeated housekeeping failures, unsanitary room conditions, unprofessional treatment by hotel staff, and amenities that were not maintained.
This experience fell far below the standards we expect from the Best Western brand. We paid for a clean, safe, and properly maintained room with functioning amenities and courteous customer service. Unfortunately, we did not receive the basic accommodations and services that were promised. On top of all of this customer service’s resolution was a slap in the face with a voucher of $250 for the future. When I mentioned points that I was promised, I got pushback on that also. It took some threatening of a bad review to get miles. Unbelievable that we would have so many issues when we just wanted to enjoy our trip. We shouldn’t have to cringe or be upset coming back to the room not knowing what to expect. Customer service ended up giving us a check for $250 and 15,000 miles, very disappointing and unacceptable!!
