This hotel was perfect for our weekend in LA. It was 10-30 minutes from all the stops we wanted to make (super close to universal). The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but exactly what we needed.
Our smoke detector went off twice in the middle of the night. The first time, someone had to enter our room to change the batteries. The second time, at 3:00 AM, with no solution provided, we had to move to another unairconditioned room. The hotel showed no goodwill, claiming this happens often and they never grant discounts. Speechless...

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Andrew, Manager and Jason were extremely gracious and friendly. As a solo traveler I felt safe in the area and especially in the hotel.
Room was clean and spacious. Basic TV, mini fridge, and K-cup coffee machine. Comfy bed and A/C was efficient.
Bath had nice towels and sample size toiletries. Shower worked as expected, nice showerhead with adjustable options.
Breakfast was standard sugar & carb options. Only other option was powdered eggs & processed sausage links.
Parking garage underground with well-lit spaces and easy elevator access to lobby.
Lots of options across the street for food and coffee.
BED BUGS. Don’t stay here. We checked into the Best Western Media Center in Burbank CA late Thursday night July 9th. There were 7 of us in two rooms next to each other. Room 222 had people above them that made loud banging/jumping noises throughout the night. We complained about the noise. No solution was provided. Room 222 had noise Friday night through Saturday morning, and Saturday night as well. A complaint was made. No solution was provided. Saturday morning, I woke up with bumps on my back, legs and arms. I was in room 221. I thought that they were mosquito bites. We left the hotel around 10:00 to go to Universal Studios. The bumps got bigger, red, blister filled, and raised throughout Saturday. When we returned to the hotel around 6:00pm, my daughter noticed more bumps on my inner arm. We proceeded to rip the bed apart and move the mattress. A bed bug was found. I captured the bed bug and took it town to the front desk. . Jay contacted the manager Andrew who gave us a new room to move to. There was no assistance in moving our stuff. We spent over an hour inspecting, removing sheets, and moving the mattress looking for bed bugs. Jay told me Andrew would be in the office Sunday morning. Andrew called me on the hotel phone. He was not very accommodating. Originally, he was only going to give me 1 night for free because I did not get bit the other nights. What???? There are bed bugs, just because I didn’t get bit does not mean they are not there! In the end he gave me 50% off my room and 1 night for the room with the noise. Not acceptable. The answer he gave me for the room with the noise. “The are adults from another country, I don’t know what they are doing” What kind of answer is that? Not our problem that they can’t keep quiet and are banging throughout the night. They should have been told to stop or move them to another room. Andrew would not provide his last name, and was not at the hotel Sunday morning (or was hiding and not wanting to talk to me). Not very professional.
I have 14 bites total. We spent several hours in over 100 degree heat dealing with the luggage and clothing after arriving home. We could not bring anything in the house and had to wash everything. I had to go to the dermatologist on Monday. The bites were getting worse. The one on my leg was very large, red and inflamed. I got a RX for an antibiotic to stop cellulitis and a steroid cream. I had to miss 4 hours of work.
I hope that room was fumigated after we left. I don’t think it was. We saw housekeeping just cleaning like normal
