Front desk staff and manager are not friendly nor helpful. Our toilet stopped up immediately and there was nobody to assist my wife in getting it fixed. A housekeeper had to give her a dirty, wet plunger to do it herself. When she went to return it, she saw the manager and said “I have been looking for you for help with my clogged toilet.” His response was a laugh. Our room’s toilet also ran until I fixes it. The closet in our room had visible mold and smelled like a wet dog with mold. Dariah is exceptionally bad at her job; will tell you one thing and then the manager has to correct her. Other than being exposed to toxins, the stay was fine and the breakfast is good.
This hotel is a major disappointment, especially for families with children or those with underlying health issues.
While the front desk staff was friendly, that alone wouldn’t warrant a 0-star rating.
Before booking, I researched the hotel online and saw that it had a majority of 4-star ratings. It’s a Best Western Plus, so I expected better quality than a regular Best Western.
We stopped by this hotel during our road trip and booked two rooms. As soon as we entered the lobby, we were hit with a strong air freshener smell. It was clearly used to cover up the mold that was present.
When we checked into the first room, we could immediately smell a mix of mold and a funky odor. We all started sneezing, and it lasted all night. Later, I went to check the second room, and it was even worse. The floor was wet, and there was a strong moldy smell. It was absolutely disgusting.
My husband and child have asthma, and the mold in this hotel triggered their symptoms immediately and lasted all night. Before this incident, I hadn’t seen any reviews mentioning the mold, so I was unaware of the problem.
This hotel is in a terrible state. It’s nothing like the pictures on the website.

We were down for a baseball tournament at the Hoover Met. Great location about 15 min away. Very clean room. The breakfasts were good. The workers were all friendly and helpful.
No working elevator plus more issues. I checked in absolutely exhausted and needing a shower and sleep. I took a shower and the tub didn't drain. Called front desk and asked for maintenance. They weren't there. I asked for another room. "All because a tub wont drain?!" Correct, because my husband needs a shower and doesnt want to stand in a foot of dirty water. She said they were almost at capacity (it was a Monday night- nope) and she'd check and hung up on me. Ended up moving me from 2nd to 3rd floor which was obviously for punishment because no working elevators. Terrible customer service
Breakfast was good, that's why im a plus member because they typically offer nice amenities. This location put me, at 8 months pregnant, with my elderly near 70s mother and special needs child on the 3rd floor and didn't bother to mention the elevator was broken until after I paid. I tripped going up the stairs which I understand is my own issue. They could not get the room key to work and offered no explanation, so we just didnt have a working room key which was supposed to also let us in the side doors. Its a bit of bad business to provide people with such inconveniences and not even offer a discount or an apology. The stairwell and hallways smell like chemicals, the rooms are fine but not great. I called back several times after missing a phone call from them and they never answered the phone. I will never stay here again.
