  From the start they failed to meet basic expectations. The safe in the room was locked shut and in the 4 nights we were there they never fixed it. The first morning we learned the soap was empty so we had to tell them to replace it which they did. We had requested the room be made up daily and even though they were in the room to replace the soap they never made up the room until asked each day. The first morning we were woken up by a fire alarm at 6:15 in the morning. When we got down stairs and asked about it we were told by reception that something in the kitchen wasn’t cleaned properly causing the alarm to go off. The rooms were extremely warn and they had not AC. With the windows open on the busy main road it was very noisy so difficult to fall asleep. And since the evening stayed light out until after 10pm you really had to keep the drapes shut making it not very effective to have the windows open. Even when we requested a fan it didn’t help a whole lot. My son even had a bird try to get into their room. Just not the best experience and not what you want while trying to enjoy your vacation.

  We booked a refundable room, had a change of plans and attempted to cancel 36 hours later. Even though the original confirmation said to call the hotel for cancellations, I was told to cancel through the website (which was not possible). I ended up calling repeatedly to cancel and receive a refund, and each time was told that management was aware of the issue and working on a refund. After a month of this I had to refute the charge with my bank and weeks later they are still trying to get the hotel to respond. If you are going to stay here, make damn sure your plans are firm because they will not refund you, even if you pay extra for a refundable rate.
