  I visited the Charlotte Tilbury counter at John Lewis today for a free 45 minute make up master class. Lauren was amazing, she done a fantastic job with my makeup and has helped me skill up and obtain knowledge on both the products, shades and advice for applying my make up in general.   Had my make up done by Bethany. It lasted the whole night and she choice the perfect shades for me. The products are great and overall good experience

  The makeup application was awful, everything was out of line, not blended properly with mascara all over my eyes, smudges in the eye corners and a wonky lip. I also booked for one hour, but it took over 90 minutes which made me late for another appointment. I spent over £200 on products and realised on my way home that I was charged twice for some things and had to go back. Furthermore, a family member had an appointment the same day with a different artist and her make up looked lovely, plus she spent half the amount I did and got lots of freebies such as the travel size setting spray, as well as 20% off some products. This made me realise it’s down to who you get, rather than there being a consistent experience regardless of the artist. I had to go home and wash it off and start again, which was a huge shame as it took a lot of time!

  I had full make up done by Nia and was very pleased with the results and the purchases I made. Nia gave me personalised options and advice based on my concerns and preferences, then helped me choose the most beneficial and enjoyable products within my budget.
